  • Bring agency feedback and platform obstacles to Product and Data teams, and hand sustained-spend accounts to Account Managers

  • At least two years working directly with advertising agencies across multiple markets, including international partners and time zones

About the Role

NewsBreak is looking for an Agency Partner Manager, Scaled Growth to join our Ad Platform team and help turn our agency partnerships into a consistent and scalable source of new advertisers.

In this role, you will work with both official and pilot agency partners across the U.S. and international markets. You will identify advertisers within each agency’s portfolio that are a strong fit for NewsBreak, guide them from onboarding through launch, and stay closely involved during their early weeks to help them reach sustained spend.

You will also help pilot agencies build the knowledge, processes, and confidence needed to bring more advertisers onto NewsBreak independently. Across a large portfolio of small and long-tail advertisers, you will develop a scalable engagement model that improves activation, retention, and growth.

Once an advertiser reaches a sustained level of spend, you will transition the account to an Account Manager with a clear and complete handoff.

Beyond day-to-day account growth, you will serve as an important voice of the agency market internally, translating recurring agency needs, advertiser feedback, and growth blockers into actionable priorities for Product, Data, and other cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Agency & Client Onboarding

  • Drive a steady flow of new advertiser activations across both official agency partners and pilot agencies, against quarterly activation targets.

  • Partner with agency media buyers, account teams, and new business leads to identify advertisers that are a strong fit for NewsBreak.

  • Use vertical, performance, and market data to recommend which advertisers and use cases agencies should prioritize.

  • Own the onboarding journey from initial intake through first spend, including:

    • Business vertical and use case

    • Conversion event

    • Target CPA or ROAS

    • Funnel structure

    • Budget

    • Agency ownership

    • Account setup

    • Tracking and attribution

    • Creative readiness

  • Diagnose barriers preventing advertisers from launching or scaling and escalate NewsBreak-side blockers to the appropriate internal teams.

  • Own pilot agency activation plans, helping each pilot partner progress from first launch to a repeatable flow of new clients.

  • Evaluate pilot agency performance and recommend whether to expand, continue testing, or exit the partnership.

Agency Education & Enablement

  • Train agency teams on NewsBreak’s advertising platform, including account setup, conversion events, bidding, creative strategy, optimization, and budget pacing.

  • Enable agencies to launch and optimize advertisers with increasingly less hands-on support.

  • Provide actionable vertical and performance insights, including:

    • Category benchmarks

    • CPA ranges by conversion event

    • Winning creative patterns

    • Audience insights

    • Geographic insights

  • Help agencies use these insights to position NewsBreak effectively with additional advertisers in their portfolios.

  • Turn successful advertiser outcomes into repeatable agency playbooks.

  • Partner with Marketing Enablement to develop agency-specific materials, workshops, and scalable enablement programs.

Retention & Scaled Growth

  • Own the early lifecycle of newly activated advertisers, from launch through sustained spend.

  • Align with advertisers and agencies on the right conversion event, performance expectations, budget pacing, and creative iteration strategy.

  • Review performance regularly and provide actionable optimization guidance.

  • Monitor weekly spend signals and intervene early when an advertiser begins to stall or disengage.

  • Improve the retention of each quarter’s newly activated advertisers so they continue spending beyond the initial launch period.

  • Manage a high-volume portfolio using a tiered engagement model:

    • High-touch support for advertisers with strong growth potential

    • Scheduled and tool-supported engagement for scaled accounts

    • Self-service support for the smallest or dormant advertisers

  • Transition advertisers that reach sustained spend to Account Managers with a complete handoff, including:

    • Original value proposition and expectations

    • Account history

    • Performance and spend baseline

    • Key optimization learnings

    • Growth opportunities

Voice of the Agency Market

  • Identify recurring agency requests, advertiser pain points, and platform blockers.

  • Translate market feedback into a prioritized queue of opportunities for Product and Data teams.

  • Represent agency needs and advertiser feedback in recurring cross-functional reviews.

  • Maintain accurate CRM records, including advertiser stage, last contact, next action, spend status, and pilot agency progress.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in ad sales, agency partnerships, agency development, advertising account management, or a related role at an ad platform, ad network, publisher, or performance agency.

  • 2+ years of direct experience working with advertising agencies.

  • Experience managing agencies of different sizes across multiple markets, including international partners and cross-time-zone collaboration.

  • Demonstrated success at both the agency and advertiser level, including:

    • Onboarding and developing new agency partners

    • Increasing the number of advertisers brought in by agency partners

    • Taking advertisers from initial engagement through launch and sustained spend

  • Hands-on experience supporting performance advertisers in at least one of the following areas, with the ability to work across all three:

    • App / Web-to-App

    • eCommerce

    • Lead Generation

  • Strong working knowledge of digital advertising platforms, conversion tracking, attribution, and common reasons advertisers fail to launch or scale.

  • Experience training or enabling partner teams through workshops, playbooks, insight materials, or direct coaching.

  • Experience managing a high-volume portfolio of 100+ advertisers and using data to prioritize account coverage.

  • Strong CRM and pipeline management discipline.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively with both agency operators and senior agency leadership.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience as an Agency Partner Manager, Agency Development Manager, Account Manager, or similar role within an SMB or scaled organization at a major advertising platform such as TikTok, Google, Meta, Snap, Pinterest, Reddit, or Amazon Ads.

  • Previous experience at a performance marketing agency, affiliate network, or media buying organization.

  • Deep expertise in at least one performance advertising vertical:

    • App / Web-to-App

    • eCommerce

    • Lead Generation

  • Experience designing or managing agency pilot programs, including defining success criteria and making scale, continue-testing, or exit decisions.

  • Experience working at a new or emerging advertising platform where benchmarks, playbooks, and best practices are still being developed.

  • Working proficiency in an additional language used by NewsBreak’s international agency partners.
