What You'll Do:
At SES Space & Defense, product marketing is about more than marketing technology. It is about understanding the missions of U.S. Government and defense customers and clearly communicating how space, network, ground, and technology solutions help them stay connected, operational, and ready when it matters most. We are looking for an early-career Product Marketing Manager who wants to build expertise at the intersection of technology, national security, and marketing. You will work across Product Management, Business Development, Sales, technical teams, Marketing & Communications, and agency partners to translate complex capabilities into clear, compelling stories that resonate with government and defense customers. This is an opportunity to take meaningful ownership early in your career while developing deep expertise in one of the most dynamic areas of the defense technology market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate complex space, network, software, terminal, and communications capabilities into clear positioning, messaging, value propositions, and customer-facing narratives.
- Develop product briefs, presentations, solution overviews, web content, talking points, and other sales-enablement tools that help Sales and Business Development communicate SES Space & Defense's value effectively.
- Partner with Product Management and commercial teams on go-to-market planning, product introductions, launches, campaigns, and market activation.
- Research U.S. Government and defense missions, priorities, technology trends, procurement environments, and competitors to help sharpen how SES Space & Defense goes to market.
- Manage assigned product marketing projects from initial brief through final delivery, coordinating subject matter experts, stakeholders, approvals, and agency partners.
- Maintain product messaging, value propositions, proof points, and sales assets to help ensure teams across the organization communicate a consistent and differentiated story.
Who You Are:
You are an early-career marketer and strong storyteller who is interested in building expertise at the intersection of technology, national security, and space. You are intellectually curious and comfortable diving into unfamiliar technical subjects, working with subject matter experts, and translating complex capabilities into clear, compelling messages that communicate customer and mission value. You enjoy working across technical, commercial, and creative teams and can take ownership of projects while coordinating multiple stakeholders and priorities. You bring strong writing, research, organization, and communication skills and are motivated to develop a deeper understanding of the U.S. Government, defense, satellite communications, and emerging technology markets. You do not need to arrive as a space or defense expert, but you should be eager to become one.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Approximately 1–3 years of experience in product marketing, technology marketing, B2B marketing, public-sector marketing, sales enablement, or a related field.
- Strong writing and storytelling skills with the ability to make complex technology understandable and compelling.
- Intellectual curiosity and an interest in defense, national security, space, satellite communications, networking, or emerging technology.
- Ability to research unfamiliar subjects, learn quickly, and translate information into actionable messaging.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Confidence working across technical, commercial, and creative teams.
- Familiarity with presentation and content-development tools such as PowerPoint, Google Slides, Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, or similar platforms.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
