Who this fits
You’ll suit an early-stage builder who enjoys figuring out which channels, messages, and sales processes work from scratch. The role is the company’s first dedicated partnerships position for NP practices, with direct access to leadership and room to grow into sales leadership. It is hybrid and based in New York City.
From the employer
Rockstar is recruiting for a mobile-first digital product studio that turns ideas into extraordinary experiences. They are a team of dynamic and savvy professionals who know how to create killer digital products. Their lean structure and remote team mean they can move fast while still delivering top-notch technology and design.
About the Role
The client is looking for a Partnerships Lead to own the full cycle of bringing independent NP practice owners onto the platform, from first touchpoint to signed deal to a warm handoff to their Customer Strategy team. This is a ground-floor role: you'll help figure out what channels work, which messages land, and how to build a repeatable motion from scratch.
You'll spend most of your time in conversation with NP owners, understanding the operational and financial pressures on their practices, diagnosing where the client can move the needle, and building the trust that gets a deal across the line. You'll also roll up your sleeves on the prospecting side, testing tools, refining outreach sequences, and showing up at industry events as a face of the company.
This role is right for someone who's energized by the early, ambiguous work of building a sales motion, not just executing one.
What You'll Own
Pipeline Development
- Source and qualify NP practice owners through outbound prospecting, conference networking, referral channels, and whatever else you find works
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of opportunities, tracking activity and deal stage
- Experiment with prospecting tools and sequencing platforms to identify the most efficient channels for the market
Deal Management
- Lead discovery conversations with practice owners to understand their clinical model, payer mix, and revenue challenges
- Work with the client's diagnostic and analytics tools to build a compelling, data-backed case for each prospect
- Manage deals from initial contact through contract execution
Events & Community
- Represent the client at NP-focused conferences, regional association events, and industry meetups
- Build relationships in the NP community that generate long-term referral and partnership value, not just short-term pipeline
Feedback Loop
- Bring market intelligence back to the product and clinical teams: what objections come up, what competitors get mentioned, what features are table stakes vs. nice-to-haves
- Help shape early sales collateral, pitch decks, and outreach templates
What We're Looking For
Required
- 2–5 years in a client-facing sales, partnerships, or business development role, ideally in healthcare, health tech, or a regulated industry
- Demonstrated track record of owning deals end-to-end, not just sourcing or supporting
- Strong discovery and consultative selling skills; you ask good questions and you listen
- Comfortable operating without a fully built playbook; you can create structure without waiting for it
- Excellent written and verbal communication; you can explain a financial opportunity clearly to a busy clinician
Preferred
- Experience selling to independent or small-group medical practices
- Familiarity with practice economics: billing, coding, payer mix, revenue cycle
- Existing relationships in the NP or primary care community
- Experience evaluating or implementing sales prospecting tools (Apollo, Clay, Outreach, etc.)
Why This Role, Why Now
This is the client's first dedicated partnerships hire focused on NP practices. You'll have a direct line to leadership, real influence over how the go-to-market motion is built, and the opportunity to grow into a senior sales leadership role as the team scales. The NP independent practice market is underserved and fast-growing, and their product is built specifically for it.
The client is an equal opportunity employer. They're committed to building a team that reflects the diversity of the practices and communities they serve.
Compensation & Location
- Salary range: $110,000–$140,000 total annual compensation
