From the employer

About the Role

We're looking for a Business Development Officer (BDO) to drive revenue growth by prospecting, negotiating, and winning new corporate, government (MDA), diplomatic, and high-net-worth accounts. You'll build strategic relationships, craft tailored corporate travel solutions, and help expand our client base across key market segments in Abuja.

What you'll actually be doing

Find and close big-ticket accounts
You will identify and win travel management partnerships with corporates, embassies, NGOs, and MDAs, crafting RFPs and proposals sharp enough to beat the competition.

Become the first point of contact for clients
You will be the trusted face for key travel managers and procurement leads, leading review meetings, demonstrating the savings you've delivered, and growing the account through premium and ancillary offerings.

Negotiate like it's your business
You will strike favourable deals with airlines, hotel chains, and tour operators and team up with marketing and operations to build standout corporate retreats, vacation packages, and seasonal campaigns.

Stay ahead of the market
You will track competitor pricing and emerging travel trends, hit your sales targets, and give leadership a clear, confident view of your pipeline and forecasts.

Requirements

What you bring

  • A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, International Relations, or similar
  • 3–5 years in sales or business development in travel, hospitality, corporate sales, or aviation backgrounds are a strong fit
  • Sharp presentation and negotiation instincts, a strong network, and a real understanding of how Abuja's corporate and public sector procurement works

Why this role
You won't just be selling seats and hotel nights, you'll be shaping how some of Abuja's biggest organisations travel. High-value accounts, real autonomy, and a direct line to leadership on the results you drive.
