FRONT-END ENGINEER

The Front-End Engineer is responsible for building and maintaining the client-side of web applications, translating UI/UX designs into high-quality, responsive, and performant user interfaces. This role bridges the gap between design and engineering, ensuring that visual concepts are implemented with clean, maintainable code and a strong focus on user experience. The Front-End Engineer collaborates closely with back-end engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver seamless, accessible, and scalable web experiences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop responsive, accessible, and performant user interfaces using modern front-end technologies.
  • Translate Figma/design mockups into clean, reusable HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript code.
  • Build and maintain component libraries and design systems.
  • Collaborate with back-end engineers to integrate RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints.
  • Optimize application performance through code splitting, lazy loading, caching strategies, and asset optimization.
  • Write unit and integration tests for front-end components.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to front-end architecture decisions.
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility and adherence to web accessibility standards (WCAG).
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to provide technical feasibility input and iterate on designs.
  • Stay current with front-end ecosystem developments and contribute to technical standards.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of professional front-end engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+) or TypeScript.
  • Experience with a modern front-end framework (React, Vue.js, or Angular).
  • Understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Experience consuming REST APIs and/or GraphQL.
  • Familiarity with version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows.
  • Strong eye for UI detail and commitment to delivering polished user experiences.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience with Next.js or Nuxt.js for server-side rendering (SSR) or static site generation (SSG).
  • Familiarity with state management libraries (Redux, Zustand, Pinia, or similar).
  • Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or similar).
  • Knowledge of web performance optimization and Core Web Vitals.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
  • Familiarity with design systems and tools like Figma or Storybook.
