Who this fits

You’ll suit a self-directed hunter who can operate in a fast-moving, target-led startup with limited hand-holding. The role is based onsite in Kuala Lumpur and involves working with Malaysian employers, HR events, trade shows, and employer forums across the country. Mandarin is a plus, and the role reports directly to the CRO.

From the employer

FastJobs, part of FastCo, is Southeast Asia's leading non-executive job platform, connecting blue-collar and non-executive job seekers with trusted employers across Singapore and Malaysia.

We are accelerating our growth in Malaysia and seeking a driven Business Development Executive/Manager to spearhead employer acquisition in this market.

About The Job:
You will own the full new-business sales cycle in Malaysia — from prospecting and outreach to pitching, closing, and onboarding employers onto the FastJobs platform. This is a hunter role: you will be the primary driver of employer growth in market, working directly with hiring managers, HR leads, and operations heads at companies across industries such as F&B, retail, logistics, hospitality, and facilities management. You will be one of the earliest BD hires focused on Malaysia, which means high ownership, a visible impact, and a direct line to the CRO.

Job Responsibilities:
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospective employer accounts across key non-executive hiring sectors in Malaysia
- Execute outbound outreach (cold calls, emails, LinkedIn, field visits) as well as convert warm inbound leads
- Conduct discovery calls and in-person/virtual demos to understand hiring pain points and present FastJobs solutions
- Negotiate and close commercial agreements, including job posting packages and featured listing products
- Onboard new employers & ensure a smooth handoff to the account management or customer success function
- Maintain accurate pipeline and deal records in the CRM; provide weekly forecasts to the CRO
- Represent FastJobs at HR events, trade shows, and employer forums across Malaysia
- Provide market feedback to the product and marketing teams on Malaysian employer needs

Key Competencies (Skills & Knowledge):
- 3–5 years of B2B sales or business development experience, with a track record of consistently hitting or exceeding targets
- Experience selling to HR, operations, or business owners — particularly in industries with high-volume non-executive hiring (F&B, retail, logistics, hospitality, or similar)
- Proven ability to self-source leads and manage a full sales cycle independently
- Strong communication and presentation skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is a plus)
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, target-driven startup environment with limited hand-holding
- Based in or willing to relocate to Kuala Lumpur

Experience:
- Prior experience at a job board, recruitment services, HR tech platform, or SaaS product sold to HR/operations buyers
- Existing network within Malaysian employers in blue-collar or non-executive hiring sectors
- Experience using a CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar)
