General Description of the Role

The Brand Manager holds end-to-end ownership of their portfolio in Korea, leading brand strategy, annual planning and execution to deliver brand health, commercial performance and profitable growth. This role translates global brand direction into locally relevant plans, drives execution excellence across consumer, trade and digital touchpoints, and partners closely with Sales, CCM, Finance and regional teams to achieve volume, value and equity objectives.

Key Responsibilities and Capabilities

  • Own portfolio performance with full business accountability
    Leads portfolio performance across volume, net sales, gross profit and A&P efficiency. Makes recommendations with a strong value creation mindset, balancing short-term commercial delivery with long-term brand equity.
  • Define winning brand strategies for the Korean market
    Builds clear annual brand plans for priority brands, identifying growth opportunities by channel, occasion, consumer target and price tier. Brings a creative and challenger mindset to develop distinctive ideas and brand plans that stand out from competitors, while ensuring local plans are insight-led and aligned with global brand positioning.
  • Lead integrated execution across consumer, trade and advocacy
    Develops and executes integrated campaigns, innovation launches, portfolio priorities and commercial programs across on-trade, off-trade and digital channels. Ensures excellent execution quality, timing and consistency in market.
  • Turn consumer and market insight into action
    Uses market data, consumer insight, competitive intelligence and post-evaluation learning to sharpen strategy, optimize investment and identify opportunities for recruitment, premiumization and brand distinctiveness.
  • Drive cross-functional leadership and disciplined execution
    Acts as a key connector across Marketing, Sales, CCM, Finance, Supply and regional teams to align priorities, resolve issues and keep initiatives on track. Brings strong ownership, proactive problem solving and high execution standards.

Experience Required & skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or equivalent
  • 7+ years of progressive brand management experience, ideally in premium FMCG, food & beverage, spirits, beverage or related consumer categories
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, brand planning capabilities, with the ability to translate insight into actionable growth plans
  • Strong commercial acumen with confidence working across pricing, P&L, investment effectiveness and channel priorities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across local, regional and cross-functional teams
  • Strong project management, prioritization and execution skills with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
  • Creative mindset with the ability to challenge conventions, develop distinctive ideas and build brand plans that stand out from competitors
  • Experience in spirits or premium beverage categories, and understanding of the Korean market, is a strong advantage
  • Fluency in both Korean and English, with the ability to communicate effectively in local and regional business environments
