Role brief

Growth Roles summary, based on the employer's posting.

What you'll do

  • Restart and expand paid social, Google, and CRM activity to improve acquisition and conversion on the current platform
  • Turn the existing email audience into structured lifecycle programmes that generate more revenue
  • Set performance benchmarks and test creative and messaging to identify acquisition, conversion, and repeat-revenue drivers
  • Use customer and growth findings to shape product and UX decisions, then build the relaunch go-to-market plan
  • Move current users onto the new experience and use the migration to reactivate them

What you bring

  • At least four years in growth and hands-on performance marketing
  • Paid acquisition experience at meaningful scale across Meta Ads and Google Ads, with GA4 expertise
  • A record of improving an underperforming funnel through testing when no established playbook existed
  • Experience in early-stage DTC ecommerce or consumer subscription businesses, with interest in developing brand beyond performance channels

Who this fits

You’ll suit this role if you are an experienced DTC growth marketer who works independently, makes decisions, and enjoys small cross-functional teams. The position is hands-on and initially runs for twelve months, with an evolution toward relaunch strategy and product input. It is an onsite role in London.

From the employer

The role

Wonderbly Group has recently acquired My Life in a Book, a leading player in the Print on Demand memoir category. The concept is simple and genuinely powerful: guided prompts help people capture their life stories, which are compiled into a beautifully printed hardcover book. A gift that becomes a treasured family heirloom.

The platform has real traction. It has fulfilled tens of thousands of orders, built a subscriber base of over 150,000 people, earned an outstanding customer satisfaction rating, and shipped to customers in more than 80 countries. We’ve acquired it because we believe it is significantly underperforming its potential, and we want you to help fix that. We’re investing significantly in product and tech and we’ve got some very exciting plans for the product that we can share at the interview.

In the near term, your job is to maximise revenue from the existing platform with support from our in house product and tech team. Then, as we redesign and relaunch the product in the new year, your role evolves: you become the commercial architect of the new experience, helping shape the go-to-market for the relaunch and help take it to its full potential.

This is a hands-on, entrepreneurial growth role working on a product with real emotional value and big commercial potential. If you’re an experienced DTC growth marketer who likes working in small, cross functional teams, owning your schedule and making your own decisions we’d like to hear from you.

What is exciting about this role

  • You are taking over a real business with existing revenue, brand equity, and a warm audience, not starting from zero
  • There is significant near-term opportunity to drive yield through channels that have been left largely dormant
  • You will be involved in shaping the product relaunch from the growth side, influencing what we build, not just how we sell it
  • The category is genuinely meaningful: helping families preserve their stories in a book that lasts forever

What you will do

Near term

  • Reactivate and scale paid social, Google, and CRM channels on the existing platform to drive customer acquisition and conversion
  • Extract maximum value from the large existing email audience through structured lifecycle programmes
  • Build performance benchmarks and establish what actually drives acquisition, conversion, and repeat revenue
  • Run rapid creative and messaging experiments to sharpen what works

Into Q1 2027 and beyond

  • Feed growth insights and customer learnings into product and UX decisions for the relaunch
  • Develop the go-to-market strategy and execution plan for the new product platform including bold new creative messaging
  • Lead the migration of all existing users to the new experience, using it as a reactivation opportunity

Requirements

Fundamentally, we want someone with proven expertise in performance marketing, ideally within early stage DTC e-commerce or consumer subscription categories.

You likely have 4+ years in growth and hands on performance marketing. You have driven acquisition through paid social and digital channels at a meaningful scale, with hands-on experience in Meta Ads, Google Ads, and GA4, and you know how to turn an underperforming funnel into one that works.

We will prioritise candidates who can demonstrate that they have operated in situations where there was no clear playbook, where they had to test their way to answers, and where they took something underperforming and made it work.

However, we are also looking for someone who has aspirations to grow beyond performance channels. We believe that there is a brilliant brand to develop through My Life in a Book in partnership with our world class product team and we want someone that is excited about this more creative side of the challenge and keen to contribute to all aspects of growth.
