Purpose of the role
The Senior Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and driving the marketing strategy for Wizz Air across key European markets, translating global brand strategy into impactful local market activity that drives brand preference, customer demand and business growth.
Responsibilities
We are looking for a senior marketer with strong strategic and commercial thinking, who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced, international and highly competitive environment.
Regional Marketing Strategy
• Develop and implement the marketing strategy for Wizz Air’s key markets.
• Translate global business priorities into clear local marketing plans and priorities.
• Identify market growth opportunities and define how marketing can support and accelerate network and commercial growth.
• Build strong understanding of local consumers, competitors, market dynamics and cultural trends.
Brand & Communications
• Lead the development and execution of marketing campaigns across the markets.
• Ensure consistent implementation of the Wizz Air brand while making communications locally relevant and culturally engaging.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen Wizz Air’s brand awareness, mental availability and consideration.
• Drive innovative marketing initiatives, partnerships and activations that increase brand relevance.
Commercial & Marketing
• Work closely with e-commerce, revenue, network teams to connect marketing activity with business performance.
• Use data, research and performance results to optimize marketing investment and business impact.
• Ensure effective (ROI) management of marketing budgets and investment.
Agency & Partner Management
• Lead relationships with local and regional creative, media, PR, social and other marketing agencies. Negotiate and manage strategic partnerships and local marketing opportunities.
Team & Leadership
• Develop a high-performing, collaborative and growth-oriented marketing culture and team.
Experience
- 5-7+ years of work experience in marketing and communications, 4+ years in relation to a customer-focused, fast-paced, high profile and heavily-regulated industry; experience of the aviation industry beneficial but not essential
- Proven experience developing and executing integrated marketing strategies and campaigns.
- Strong understanding of both brand building and performance/ customer acquisition.
Hard skills
- Digital native with a solid understanding of digital media
- Proficiency in MS Excel/PowerPoint.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
