As the Account Manager for the full immunodiagnostic product portfolio, your responsibilities will include maintaining existing business and growing the Allergy & Autoimmune market in line with agreed targets.


A Day in the Life:

You will manage and grow customer accounts across your territory, working alongside Marketing, Clinical, Technical Services and Application Specialist teams. You will develop customer relationships, manage contracts and tenders, participate in forecasting and planning activities, and ensure accurate and timely account management through SFDC.


What to expect:

  • Maintain existing business and grow the Allergy & Autoimmune market as per agreed targets.
  • Deliver on agreed company and individual metrics.
  • Develop, successfully implement and maintain accurate and up-to-date account plans and customer details in SFDC alongside Marketing, Clinical, Technical Services and Application Specialist teams.
  • Ensure all activities and meetings are logged in an accurate and timely manner within SFDC.
  • Own and successfully negotiate contracts, including capital sales and reagent rentals, and ensure service contracts are handled and led in a timely manner working alongside the Contracts & Tender and Tech Service team.
  • Own the Tender response on your territory and engage with primary MSPs (Managed Service Providers), conducting site visits and business reviews on a regular basis.
  • Actively participate in forecasting and planning activities applying Thermo Fisher Diagnostics tools including, but not limited to, SFDC and Power BI.
  • Support Cost Per Reportable (CPR) customers with onsite stock checks.
  • Develop and engage with Key Opinion Leaders across your territory.
  • Feedback market intelligence to Sales Manager, Marketing and Finance as the need arises.
  • Communicate effectively with all parts of the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with internal Quality Processes and CRM (eg SFDC).
  • Customer-facing role with expectation that the majority of time will be spent with customers face to face, with 50-75% travel.
  • Attend internal & external meetings and events as required.


Keys to Success:

Education

  • A degree, preferably in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biology or a related scientific field.


Experience

  • 5 years of sales experience, preferably in laboratory, scientific, or healthcare industries.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain customer relationships at all levels.


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Technical knowledge and ability to understand customer applications and workflows.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) and MS Office suite.
  • Analytical and strategic planning capabilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a matrix environment.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel within assigned territory.
  • Fluency in English required; additional languages beneficial.
