For our business, for clients, and for you

SENIOR SALES OPERATIONS MANAGER

Apex Group has embarked on a genuine ground-up transformation of its GTM Operations functions — every function that interfaces with the customer lifecycle: Sales, CRM, Revenue Operations, Marketing, Business Operations and Product Management. This transformation will touch policies, processes, systems and people, with one aim: a commercial operations function that can handle volume, enable deal velocity, drive value, and deliver accuracy.

Sales Operations will sit within the broader Revenue Operations function and will own the opportunity lifecycle, overseeing its evolution from milestone checkpoints to a true, best-practice opportunity lifecycle — built on real qualification methodology, intelligent governance, and systems that work the way our people actually do. This isn't a "maintain the status quo" role. It's a build role, and it will suit someone who wants to help shape the operating model that a global fund administration and investor services business will run on for years to come.

We're looking for an experienced Senior Sales Operations Manager to help scale our GTM processes and systems vision, lead GTM enablement, build our commercial librarian function, and serve as the central point of cross-functional gravity between Commercial Operations, Product Management, and Business Operations. You'll report to the Global Head of Commercial Operations and Deal Desk, and you'll have real latitude to shape how this function grows.

What you'll own

The Opportunity Lifecycle, end-to-end. You'll own the stages, activities, statuses and system interface of our opportunity lifecycle across our full product portfolio, every transaction type, and every route-to-market. If it touches how a deal moves from first identification to closed-won, you'll help design and envision how it evolves operationally to enable greater intuitiveness and scale.

Our systems vision. You'll support the systems strategy underpinning our commercial target operating model — helping translate "how we want to sell" into "how the platform actually works" across the entire opportunity lifecycle.

Enablement and adoption across GTM. You'll lead the learning, enablement and adoption of systems, operations and processes across GTM — turning new processes into habits people use, not just policies they tolerate.

The central librarian function. You'll build out our central "librarian" function: the curated home for commercial and knowledge artefacts across GTM, so the right playbook, template or precedent is always one search away, not buried in someone's inbox.

Cross-functional alignment. You'll be the connective tissue between GTM, Commercial Operations, and key business partners — especially Product Management and Business Operations — ensuring decisions in one function don't quietly break another.

Qualification and Experience

  • Education: Minimum of a bachelor's degree in business administration or a closely related professional discipline.
  • Solid experience, minimum of 7 years, in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, or Commercial Operations, ideally within a B2B SaaS, financial services, or professional/fund services environment
  • Hands-on comfort with CRM/CPQ platforms (Salesforce strongly preferred) and a genuine interest in how business operations should be designed and how systems should operate to deliver effective outcomes
  • Experience designing or evolving opportunity/pipeline stages, qualification methodology, or deal governance frameworks
  • A track record of building enablement or training programmes that move adoption, not just tick a compliance box
  • Strong instincts for information architecture — you like things organised, findable, and current
  • Confidence operating cross-functionally with Product Management and Business Operations stakeholders, including when priorities compete
  • Comfort with ambiguity — you'll be helping define parts of this role as you go, not following a fixed playbook

What will make you thrive here

  • You are a team player, someone who is excited to form a vision, share it, and influence others to go on that journey with you
  • You enjoy building things from scratch more than maintaining what already exists
  • You think in processes and systems, but you never lose sight of the impact these will have on the underlying end-user community
  • You're a natural connector — cross-functional friction doesn't frustrate you; it energises you
  • You want to grow into a broader Rev Ops leadership remit as this function scales

Why join us

You'll join at the point where this transformation is moving from vision to build—a rare chance to shape the operating model rather than inherit one. You'll work closely with senior Commercial leadership, gain genuine exposure across Product and Business Operations, and help stand up a Rev Ops function with a real mandate behind it, not just a name change on an org chart.
