Reporting to the VP Marketing, the Creative Director defines and leads the creative vision for PENN., bringing a bold, distinctive and fashion-forward point of view to how the Brand shows up across campaigns, digital, e-commerce and, critically, the in-store experience.

Leading a multidisciplinary team across Art Direction, Graphic Design and Visual Merchandising, this role connects brand storytelling, product and customer experience to create a consistent and recognizable PENN. point of view. From seasonal campaigns and digital content to windows, mannequin styling, product presentation and in-store brand theatre, the Creative Director shapes how customers experience PENN. at every touchpoint.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and champion a bold, recognizable and ownable creative vision for PENN., translating brand strategy, customer insights, fashion trends and seasonal priorities into compelling creative concepts and visual experiences.
  • Own the creative vision for the in-store experience, elevating windows, mannequin styling, outfitting, product presentation, signage and brand theatre to create inspiring, commercially relevant stores that bring PENN. to life.
  • Lead the evolution of Visual Merchandising in close partnership with Retail, Merchandising and Marketing, ensuring creative concepts translate effectively across the store network while balancing brand impact, customer experience and commercial performance.
  • Evolve PENN.’s visual identity and brand codes in partnership with the VP Marketing, ensuring a distinctive and cohesive expression across campaigns, stores, digital and e-commerce.
  • Lead, inspire and develop the Senior Art Director, Graphic Design team and Visual Merchandising Manager, setting clear creative direction and providing feedback that elevates both the work and the talent.
  • Partner closely with Merchandising, Retail, E-commerce and Marketing to connect product, storytelling and customer experience, ensuring creative ideas are both inspirational and commercially relevant.

Provide creative oversight for campaign and e-commerce photography, studio partnerships, creative innovation, production budgets and AI-enabled ways of working.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive creative experience within fashion, retail, lifestyle or consumer brands, including creative leadership experience.
  • Proven ability to define and evolve a fashion brand’s creative vision, supported by a strong portfolio spanning campaigns, art direction, photography, digital creative and physical retail.
  • Strong Visual Merchandising and in-store creative experience, with demonstrated ability to translate brand concepts into compelling windows, mannequin styling, product presentation and customer experiences at scale.
  • Experience leading and developing multidisciplinary creative teams, including Art Directors, Graphic Designers, Visual Merchandising teams, photographers, stylists and external creative partners.
  • Experience overseeing campaign and e-commerce photography, creative and production budgets, and emerging creative tools and AI-enabled ways of working.
  • Bilingual in French and English to collaborate with teams and stakeholders across Canada.
