Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute market and competitive intelligence projects end to end across all of the Company's product categories, from defining the research question through to final recommendations.
  • Track and maintain accurate records of competitor pricing, discounts, bundles and promotional activity on a regular cadence.
  • Monitor competitor products and market demand, documenting feature gaps in the Company's range and features actively requested by customers across all categories.
  • Gather, verify and triangulate data from internal teams, industry and market reports, competitor disclosures, retail and e-commerce sources, and primary or customer research where required.
  • Analyse data to produce insights and recommendations that support Marketing and Product decision-making.
  • Build and maintain trackers, dashboards, and reports required for the role, ensuring data accuracy and security.
  • Prepare and present periodic and ad-hoc reports summarising findings, insights and recommendations to management and relevant stakeholders.
  • Identify and escalate material competitor developments that require a timely response.

Requirements

  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Data Analytics or a related field, or equivalent relevant working experience.
  • Prior experience in market research, competitive intelligence, business analysis, including having led research projects independently from start to finish.
  • Demonstrated analytical ability to gather and interpret data from multiple sources and translate it into clear, actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Proficiency in data tools, including strong command of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, experience with dashboard or business-intelligence tools (such as Looker Studio or Power BI) is an advantage.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare and present reports to management and senior stakeholders.
  • Sound commercial awareness across both marketing and product functions, including an understanding of pricing, promotional and product-development decisions.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and establish and maintain systems and processes with minimal supervision.
  • High attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership over data accuracy and integrity.

  • Experience in the consumer electronics, retail, e-commerce or direct-to-consumer sector.
  • Basic automation skills (e.g. scripting, web scraping or AI tools) to streamline data collection.
