What you bring

Who this fits

This hands-on manager role suits a lifecycle marketer who wants to own campaign craft while Sales and Customer Success handle customer relationships. You'll work remotely in the United States, with in-person collaboration at the Los Gatos or Birmingham office on Mondays and Wednesdays. The work serves evangelical Christian churches alongside the wider nonprofit sector, so alignment with that mission and its values is required.

From the employer

Who We Are

Overflow is a Series C, growth-stage technology company on a bold mission: to inspire the world to give. We're a vertical fintech and SaaS platform unlocking more ways to give — cash, stock, crypto, and beyond — through a beautifully designed ecosystem built for high-impact churches, nonprofits, and mission-driven institutions.

Backed by Uncork Capital, Craft Ventures, Salesforce Ventures, R7, and WIF (one of the largest lenders to faith and philanthropic organizations in the country), we're building the infrastructure that makes generosity frictionless at scale.

Our Founding Principles

Overflow was founded on the belief that generosity transforms people and communities. Inspired by Proverbs 11:24 — "The world of the generous gets larger and larger" — we operate with integrity, stewardship, service, and excellence.

How We Work

Overflow operates with a flexible work model. While there is no company-wide in-office requirement, some teams may establish in-person collaboration rhythms based on their function, goals, and team needs.

We maintain offices in Los Gatos, CA and Birmingham, AL for team collaboration, coworking, meetings, and intentional in-person connection. For this role, Monday and Wednesday are collaboration days at one of these two offices — these in-person touchpoints with Brand, Sales, and Success are core to how this team operates.

About the Role

You'll own the prospect journey with Overflow, from first touch to marketing qualified lead — building the email, SMS, and in-app sequences that turn interested churches, nonprofits, and purpose-driven companies into qualified pipeline for our BDR team. You'll also run the upsell and renewal campaigns that support Sales and Customer Success, who own the calls and the relationships, while you own the campaigns that warm them up.

This is a hands-on role for a marketer who loves the craft of lifecycle work — journeys, triggers, segmentation, deliverability — and wants that craft to serve a mission bigger than the funnel. You'll work in HubSpot daily, partner closely with Brand, Sales, and Success, and report to the Head of Brand & Marketing.

What You Will Do

Prospect Lifecycle & Funnel Strategy

  • Own the prospect journey from first touch to marketing qualified lead, and design the handoff that sets BDRs up to convert MQLs to SQLs

  • Map prospect journeys for church leaders, operators, and nonprofit decision makers, and identify the moments that matter most

  • Define lead scoring and MQL criteria in partnership with Sales, and own the handoff mechanics — routing, timing, and suppression rules during active sales cycles

  • Partner with the Head of Brand & Marketing to keep lifecycle messaging aligned with Overflow's voice and mission

Sequences & Marketing Automation

  • Build, launch, and maintain automated sequences in HubSpot across email, SMS, and in-app touchpoints, including nurture flows and re-engagement programs

  • Write and edit clear, warm, on-brand copy that makes automated outreach feel personal and human

  • Own the lifecycle send calendar across seasonal giving moments, including year-end giving, and product launches

  • Maintain list health, deliverability, and compliance across all channels, including CAN-SPAM and TCPA for SMS

Expansion & Renewal Campaigns

  • Design and launch the upsell, cross-sell, and renewal campaigns that support Sales and Customer Success — they own the calls and the relationships, you own the campaigns that warm them up

  • Develop audience segments based on funnel stage, behavior, and organization type

  • Personalize campaigns for churches, nonprofits, and purpose-driven companies at different stages of adoption

Experimentation, Analytics & Reporting

  • Define and track funnel KPIs, including MQL volume, MQL-to-SQL conversion, and campaign-sourced pipeline

  • Run A/B tests across subject lines, content, timing, and journeys, and ship what works

  • Report performance and insights to marketing and company leadership, translating data into clear next steps

What You Should Have

  • 3–5 years of experience in lifecycle, email, or demand generation marketing, ideally in B2B SaaS, fintech, or the nonprofit and faith space

  • Hands-on experience building automated campaigns in HubSpot or a comparable marketing automation platform

  • A track record of growing MQL volume and lead-to-MQL conversion through automated sequences

  • Exceptional written communication skills — you can make an automated email feel personal, warm, and human

  • Strong analytical skills, including campaign reporting, A/B testing, and segmentation

  • Alignment with Overflow's mission and values, including our commitment to serving the evangelical Christian church space alongside the wider nonprofit sector

  • Commitment to hybrid work, including in-person collaboration days (currently Monday and Wednesday)

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

It'd Be Nice If You Had

  • Experience with SMS marketing and TCPA compliance

  • A track record partnering closely with Sales and Customer Success in a B2B SaaS environment

  • Familiarity with the nonprofit, philanthropy, or faith-based technology space

  • Comfort managing many campaigns, calendars, and stakeholders at once

Our Compensation Philosophy

Overflow's compensation philosophy is rooted in Carta Total Compensation benchmarks, ensuring pay that is competitive by role, geography, and function. Actual compensation may vary based on factors including job-related skills, experience, interview performance, and market data.

Total compensation may also include equity, performance-based bonuses (for eligible roles), and a comprehensive benefits package. As a Series B company, we believe equity is a meaningful part of building long-term ownership — when Overflow wins, our team should share in that upside.

  • Competitive base salary with equity and commission eligibility
