Restaurant Business Partner (Account Management)
Lavu | Tampa, FL | Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days in the field
Restaurant owners don’t need another vendor. They need someone who understands their business and can show them exactly where they’re losing money. Marty AI analyzes a restaurant’s sales, labor, and menu data to find that lost cash and build a plan to recover it. It works no matter which POS the restaurant runs.
As a Restaurant Business Partner, you’ll be the person who brings Marty’s findings to life. You’ll own a portfolio of restaurant clients, guide them from their first Cash Recovery Plan to an ongoing Marty Command Center subscription, and grow the book by bringing new restaurants on board. This is a consultative sales role. If you’d rather earn an owner’s trust with real numbers than chase cold leads, and you still like closing, this role is for you
What You’ll Own
Converting and growing your portfolio. You’ll turn Cash Recovery Plan clients into recurring Marty Command Center subscribers, expand to more locations within multi-unit groups, and help bring new restaurants onto Marty.
Retention and renewals. You’ll protect recurring revenue by making sure every client sees real dollars recovered. That means spotting at-risk accounts early and showing results well before renewal comes up.
Cash Recovery Plan reviews. You’ll lead each client’s plan review, walking owners through where Marty found lost cash and turning those findings into an action plan they’ll follow. After that, you’ll run regular check-ins in Marty Command Center that track progress and show the money they’ve gotten back.
Account strategy. You’ll build plans for key accounts, map decision-makers, and use engagement and results data to decide where to push next.
What You’ll Do Day to Day
- Keep new clients moving quickly from data received to Cash Recovery Plan review.
- Use the 30-day follow-up after each review to show early results and convert the client to Marty Command Center.
- Track opportunities, lifecycle stages, and forecasts in HubSpot.
- Watch how clients act on Marty’s recommendations, and turn low engagement into coaching conversations.
- Work with the Marty product and data teams to resolve issues, log them in Jira, and bring client feedback back to the roadmap.
- Keep up with restaurant economics, industry trends, and the growing field of AI tools for operators.
What You Bring
- 3+ years in consultative sales, account management, or customer success, ideally selling software or data products.
- A track record of converting, expanding, and retaining accounts against a number.
- Comfort with restaurant financials: food and labor cost, ticket average, menu mix. You can explain a P&L to an owner in plain language.
- Confidence presenting data-driven recommendations to owners and handling pushback.
- Curiosity about AI. You don’t need to build it, but you can explain what Marty does, what it doesn’t do, and why owners should trust it.
- Strong organization and pipeline discipline across [60–100+] accounts.
Bonus Points
- Restaurant or hospitality experience, whether front of house, back of house, or ownership.
- Experience selling analytics, or AI products to small businesses.
- Familiarity with a range of POS systems, such as Toast, Square, Clover, and Lavu.
