Role Type: Full-time Contract (Remote, UK Business Hours)
Engagement: Independent Contractor
Job Summary
We are seeking a high-energy, strategic Social Media Manager to take full ownership of our social ecosystem. This is not a role for a "scheduler" waiting for instructions; we need a proactive strategist and creator who can manage the presence of 12 internal group brands and a growing list of external clients. You will be the architect of our digital voice—deciding what to post, why it matters, and how to turn followers into a community. If you thrive on variety, consistency, and the challenge of managing multiple brand identities simultaneously, this is the role for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and own the end-to-end social strategy for every account, including platform mix, cadence, and tone of voice.
- Produce, schedule, and publish approximately 25 high-quality posts per week across LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, and YouTube.
- Repurpose long-form content and recordings into platform-native assets that drive engagement.
- Act as the brand’s voice by monitoring and responding to all comments and messages within 24 hours.
- Manage online communities daily, including welcoming new members and sparking weekly discussions.
- Deliver monthly performance reports for each account, providing data-backed commentary on reach, engagement, and growth.
- Continuously audit performance to identify what is working and pivot strategies accordingly.
Requirements
- Proven experience owning social media strategy, not just executing a pre-defined plan.
- A strong track record of managing multiple accounts simultaneously (ideally in an agency environment).
- Exceptional written English skills, capable of writing compelling copy and engaging in sophisticated community management.
- Highly process-driven and reliable, with the ability to maintain a consistent output across various brands.
- Comfortable working UK business hours and meeting strict weekly scheduling deadlines.
- Experience in an agency setting managing diverse external client accounts.
- Hands-on community management experience.
- Client-facing confidence to present strategies and reports as the team expands.
