Position Overview
The Social Media & Content Specialist is responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing content across multiple digital and social media platforms. This mid-level role combines content creation, social media management, analytics, and strategic collaboration to support marketing objectives, strengthen brand awareness, and protect the organization’s online reputation. The role requires a balance of creative execution and data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Content Development & Creative Execution
- Develop high-quality written copy tailored to platform-specific audiences and aligned with brand voice and messaging
- Produce engaging multimedia content, including images, short-form video, and visual assets for social media and digital campaigns
- Design and edit graphics using approved tools and templates to support content and campaign needs
- Ensure all content adheres to brand standards, accessibility guidelines, and quality expectations
Social Media Channel Management
- Manage, schedule, and publish content across multiple social media platforms
- Maintain editorial calendars and ensure consistent, timely execution of campaigns and posts
- Monitor social media activity, engage with audiences as appropriate, and escalate issues following established guidelines
- Support online reputation management through proactive monitoring and response coordination
Strategy, Performance & Analytics
- Track, analyze, and report on content and campaign performance using platform analytics and reporting tools
- Identify trends, audience insights, and high-performing content to inform ongoing optimization
- Make real-time adjustments to content and messaging based on performance data and emerging trends
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to marketing stakeholder
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field, or equivalent experience desireable
- Demonstrated experience writing professional, engaging copy for digital audiences
- Working knowledge of social media management, scheduling, and analytics tools
- Proficiency with graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar platforms
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
