From the employer

Footballco is building a next generation football media company: one that goes deeper into distinct communities, develops original formats and intellectual property, and creates strong brands that can travel across platforms and markets.

Our multi-brand, multi platform approach places us at the intersection of what audiences, commercial partners and traditional media companies increasingly want. We combine global scale with a deep understanding of individual fan communities and create entertainment and experiences that others cannot.

INDIVISA is central to that ambition, and we are now expanding our portfolio with a new culture first brand designed to connect broader female audiences with sport. This is an opportunity to shape two distinct but complementary brands, and help define how the next generation of audiences discovers, experiences and connects with women’s football and sport

About the role

Footballco is looking for a Social Media Manager to join our INDIVISA team, creating social content for UK women’s football fans.

You’ll be involved in INDIVISA’s daily social output and work closely with other teams (e.g. production, design, post-production) to create compelling content in INDIVISA’s tone of voice. This role is ideal for someone with experience in social publishing and an enormous passion for women’s football.

Once set up, you’ll work independently to post on our social feeds throughout the day. You’ll become an expert in best practices across different platforms, with an attention to detail and a creative streak.

What you'll be doing:

  • Execute INDIVISA’s social media strategy across platforms. Instagram and TikTok have been the primary focus in recent years, though we’re looking to establish a regular cadence of short-form and longer-form YouTube content in 2026/27 too.
  • Daily social publishing, community management and audience engagement; editing images, creating graphics and writing social copy
  • Arm the production team with questions, insights and assets to support shoots.
  • Planning and scripting long-form and short-form video content, ensuring that the post production team is given detailed briefs for process efficiency.
  • Support content ideation and ensure editorial output is on-brand, innovative, and platform-native.
  • Take advice on social captions, thumbnails and content flow to optimise storytelling and maximise reach for a UK audience.
  • Monitor performance, analyse data and absorb actionable insights to refine future publishing plans on Footballco’s portfolio of social channels.
  • Share social trends, platform updates and emerging formats to push forwards INDIVISA in how it engages core women’s football fans.
  • Action instructions for commercial partner posts, and an openness to learn how to integrate brands effectively within INDIVISA’s audience-first content
  • Willingness and availability to work around big football moments and shoots, which will require evening and weekend work.

What you have:

  • Passion for football and strong depth of knowledge of the women’s game in the UK.
  • Excellent written English skills and ability to write compelling, accurate copy under pressure while adhering to INDIVISA’s tone and brand voice.
  • Minimum three years’ experience planning and publishing audience-driven content on social media channels.
  • Proven track record of growing audiences and engagement across major social platforms.
  • Experience of writing video scripts and content plans, as well as providing astute and actionable feedback for others within the team and in other departments would be ideal, would be advantageous.
  • Good editorial judgement and creative ability to react to breaking news and viral opportunities.
  • Willingness to become proficient in using social analytics tools.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, with a problem solving mindset and calmness under pressure.
  • A collaborative attitude and strong communication, taking on board recommendations from more senior colleagues to develop their own skills.
