Who this fits

This role suits a product marketer who can explain technical cloud topics to both engineering and finance audiences. It is fully remote and open to applicants anywhere in the United States. You’ll report to the Head of Marketing.

From the employer

ProsperOps is the category leader in autonomous cloud cost optimization, founded by the leaders behind Rackspace's AWS Managed Services Business. We use sophisticated algorithms, AI, and automation to generate world class savings outcomes for AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, while minimizing our customers' risk. We have over $5 billion dollars of cloud spend under management and serve sophisticated teams like Coinbase, Canva, SeatGeek, and TD Synnex. The cloud is incredibly powerful, but operating it cost effectively is complicated and time-consuming. Our mission is to remove complexity and deliver savings outcomes so every business can prosper in the cloud. We're a fully remote team, so 100% of our roles are open to applicants anywhere in the region in which the role is advertised.

ProsperOps is seeking a Product Marketing Manager to own how we position and launch an autonomous FinOps platform that unifies rate and workload optimization. Our portfolio now spans Autonomous Discount Management™ (ADM) for commitments on AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, ProsperOps Scheduler, and Unified Autonomous Optimization, which pairs ProsperOps with Flexera's Ocean and Elastigroup. You will turn that portfolio into a story FinOps, engineering, and finance buyers believe, and give Sales and Partners what they need to tell it. This position reports to our Head of Marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Positioning and messaging. Own the messaging framework for ProsperOps and its place in the Flexera FinOps portfolio, from the one-liner to persona and product pages. Keep rate and workload optimization distinct and clear.
  • Launches. Plan and run product and feature launches end to end: positioning, packaging and pricing story, web pages, enablement, and post-launch measurement.
  • Customer and market insight. Interview customers and prospects, run win/loss, and turn what you learn into segmentation, messaging, and roadmap input.
  • Sales and partner enablement. Build and maintain the pitch, demo narrative, battlecards, and objection handling that Sales and Partners use.
  • Proof. Build customer stories and Effective Savings Rate (ESR) proof points, with every figure sourced.
  • Competitive intelligence. Track the alternatives buyers weigh, including doing it themselves, and equip Sales to win against them.
  • Analyst and industry relations. Support analyst briefings and industry programs, including our work with the FinOps Foundation.
  • AI leverage. Use AI for research, drafting, and message testing, including the buyer-persona agents we already run.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in product marketing at a high-growth B2B SaaS company, selling to technical buyers
  • A launch you can walk us through: the positioning, the plan, and the results
  • A strong technical writer who can explain commitments, coverage, and utilization to engineers and their dollar impact to finance
  • Working knowledge of public cloud and FinOps, or the curiosity and speed to get there quickly
  • Using AI in your daily workflow, with a real opinion about where it helps and where it does not
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Preferred: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud pricing (RIs, Savings Plans, CUDs), positioning a product inside a larger portfolio, analyst relations, pricing and packaging, partner and marketplace marketing, and HubSpot and WordPress.
