The Business Development Manager will play a key role in supporting the North American sales team to identify and develop new business opportunities across all territories. This position is responsible for driving pipeline growth and facilitating the closure of deals in alignment with corporate sales objectives. The primary focus will be on lead generation, prospect engagement, and relationship development to establish and nurture commercial opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, qualify, and maintain a robust pipeline of business leads through systematic prospecting and outreach activities - Conduct market research and competitive intelligence gathering to identify emerging opportunities and market trends - Organise and attend industry exhibitions and conferences to represent ADAMAS and establish new business relationships
- Represent ADAMAS at client meetings, bid defence presentations, and strategic account reviews - Prepare comprehensive responses to Requests for Proposals (RFP) and Requests for Information (RFI) - Draft and negotiate commercial documentation, including Confidentiality Agreements, Master Service Agreements, and business proposals
- Prepare detailed status reports for weekly management meetings and provide ad-hoc reporting as required - Manage customer relationships utilising CRM systems and maintain accurate sales forecasting data - Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute business development strategies aligned with corporate objectives
- Minimum 3 years' experience in business development, sales, or a related commercial role • Proven track record of successfully identifying and closing new business opportunities • Strong people skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all organisational levels • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly
- Demonstrated proficiency in market analysis and competitive intelligence gathering • Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software and sales forecasting tools • Sound financial acumen with the ability to understand P&L statements and business metrics
- Strategic thinking capability with the ability to develop and execute business plans • Project management experience and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously • Desirable: Experience in the technology or B2B sectors • Desirable: Familiarity with business modelling and financial forecasting • Desirable: Experience in account management and key account development
