Position Summary
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven professional to join our dynamic team as the Senior Manager, Innovation Product Marketing for e.l.f. SKIN. This position will play a key role in driving the growth of one of our most exciting and rapidly expanding categories.
As the Senior Manager, you will assist in the development and implementation of the global product marketing strategy and innovation pipeline for our Skincare category. Your focus will be on identifying key segments, driving brand growth, and contributing to the innovation roadmap to capture new market opportunities and increase market share.
Responsibilities:
- Manage innovation product marketing for skincare categories to help build segments and support strategic direction.
- Manage the execution of product marketing initiatives and contribute to the innovation pipeline for the skincare category, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Develop comprehensive product innovation strategies for that aligns with market trends and consumer needs.
- Utilize market data, consumer insights, and social listening to identify and prioritize new market opportunities.
- Conduct thorough market analysis to determine success factors for both new and existing product offerings.
- Partner with Product Development team on ingredients, product formats, clinical and consumer testing parameters for product claims. Collaborate on compelling storytelling and marketing narratives for product launches that resonate with consumers.
- Participate in strategic calendar planning and innovation sessions, fostering cross-functional collaboration.
- Work closely with cross functional departments to execute innovation briefs, detailing strategies, positioning, target claims, ingredients, pricing, and packaging.
- Develop pricing strategies based on market positioning and competitive analysis.
- Responsible for cost of goods management and value analysis to support financial objectives.
- Collaborate with the Education team to enhance educational initiatives tied to product launches.
- Support the implementation of sampling strategies for new products in collaboration with Sales and Brand Marketing teams.
- Ensure the creation of impactful product copy in partnership with copywriters.
- Work alongside cross-functional teams—including Creative, Brand (Go To Market), Compliance, Visual Merchandising, and R&D—to ensure successful execution of product launches.
- Engage with Quality Assurance teams to identify and address product improvement opportunities.
- Participate in weekly innovation international meetings with key stakeholders to facilitate timely launches.
- Prepare and present product opportunities at Stage Gate meetings as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of 5+ years of product marketing experience, with a focus on beauty industry.
- Experience in managing the product development cycle, from concept to market introduction.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate initiatives into actionable marketing plans.
- Strong knowledge of the skincare category and mass-market landscape, with expertise in customer-driven marketing strategies.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while effectively managing multiple priorities.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
- Strong sense of personal leadership and ownership.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and relevant industry databases.
