Role Summary

As an Account Executive, you will own a defined portfolio of strategic enterprise accounts, driving sustainable revenue and portfolio growth through trusted customer relationships, consultative selling, and strong account orchestration. You will partner across Cisco’s portfolio, Solution Engineering, specialist teams, and partners to understand customer priorities, create demand, and deliver differentiated solutions across secure networking and broader architectures. The role combines strategic account planning, executive engagement, opportunity development, and end-to-end sales ownership.

What You’ll Do

• Own and grow a portfolio of strategic enterprise accounts, including Key and Premier Accounts.

• Build trusted, long-term relationships with C-suite, senior technology leaders, and key decision-makers.

• Develop account strategies based on customer priorities, business outcomes, technology roadmaps, and whitespace opportunities.

• Drive cross-sell, upsell, competitive displacement, and demand creation across Cisco’s portfolio.

• Act as the Account Orchestrator, aligning Solution Engineers, specialists, portfolio teams, partners, and internal stakeholders to address complex customer needs.

• Maintain broad knowledge of Cisco’s portfolio, with strong expertise in secure networking, including switching, wireless, routing, and firewall.

• Lead opportunities through the full sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification through proposal, negotiation, and close.

• Deliver value-based customer engagements that connect Cisco solutions to measurable business outcomes.

• Lead account planning and align customer strategies with Cisco portfolio and architecture priorities.

• Use market trends, customer insights, and competitive intelligence to identify opportunities and shape account strategy.

• Maintain accurate pipeline and forecast data in Cisco CRM and establish weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales commitments.

• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve sales execution, remove bottlenecks, and accelerate customer outcomes.

• Champion cross-architecture collaboration to solve complex customer challenges.

Who You Are

• A strategic, customer-focused sales professional with strong enterprise account management and consultative selling experience.

• Comfortable engaging C-suite and senior business and technology leaders.

• Strong at building relationships, creating demand, and identifying growth opportunities within complex accounts.

• Able to orchestrate multiple internal and external stakeholders and influence without authority.

• Strong understanding of secure networking and the ability to connect Cisco’s broader portfolio to customer outcomes.

• Commercially driven with strong skills in negotiation, account planning, pipeline management, forecasting, and competitive positioning.

• Curious about industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technology.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree + min 10 years + of relevant sales experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing strategic or high-value enterprise accounts.

• Proven track record of C-suite engagement and consultative/value-based selling.

• Strong knowledge of switching, wireless, routing, and firewall technologies.

• Experience driving cross-portfolio or cross-architecture sales.

• Track record of success in complex, multi-stakeholder sales environments.

• Strong account planning, forecasting, negotiation, and competitive selling skills.

• Experience orchestrating Solution Engineers, specialists, partners, and cross-functional teams.
