Our Associate Manager, Corporate Communications is responsible for planning, developing, and executing communications strategies and corporate narrative across internal and external audiences that enhance ZALORA’s brand, reputation, and employee engagement.
This role involves managing internal and external communications, supporting executive leader messaging, coordinating campaigns, and ensuring consistent and impactful messaging across multiple channels. The incumbent will work closely with the Senior Management Team, People & Culture team, and business leaders to align communications with business objectives and organizational priorities.
The successful candidate will be a dynamic storyteller and strategic communicator who thrives in fast-paced environments — balancing creativity with precision, and business alignment with authenticity.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership & Strategic Communications

  • Partner with the Senior Management Team to plan, craft, and deliver impactful executive communications that inspire, align, and engage internal and external audiences.
  • Shape ZALORA’s corporate narrative and ensure consistent messaging across all communication touchpoints.
  • Provide strategic communications guidance to leaders on communications best practices and messaging strategies.

Internal Communications

  • Develop and execute internal communications strategies to engage employees and support organizational initiatives, ensuring messaging consistency across all internal communications and alignment with ZALORA’s values and culture.
  • Lead end-to-end internal communication initiatives including company-wide announcements, town halls, newsletters, and leadership updates.
  • Manage content for internal channels such as intranet, email updates, and internal social platforms.

External Communications

  • Coordinate with Global Fashion Group (GFG) in supporting ZALORA’s external communications initiatives, including spokesperson preparation, media briefing, press releases, corporate announcements, social media, and other public-facing materials.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with media, industry partners, and key stakeholders. Monitor media coverage and industry trends to inform communications strategies.

Corporate Events & Internal Campaign

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute corporate events, campaigns for organizational initiatives, or change management programs.
  • Collaborate with People & Culture and relevant business teams to develop communication materials for projects, including corporate responsibility initiatives, product launches, and change management programs.
  • Track and report on the effectiveness of communications initiatives.

Content Creation & Editing on Digital & Corporate Platforms

  • Manage ZALORA’s corporate website and LinkedIn presence to ensure content reflects brand identity, corporate priorities, and thought leadership.
  • Produce high-quality written content, presentations, and visual assets for internal and external audiences, and analyze performance metrics and engagement data to continuously optimize digital communication strategies.
  • Develop an editorial calendar that amplifies company milestones, leadership visibility, and corporate initiatives, and maintain editorial standards, tone, and brand voice in all communications.

Crisis & Issues Management

  • Serve as a key contact in managing crisis communications, ensuring timely, accurate, and coordinated responses.
  • Partner with legal, risk, and leadership teams to prepare communication plans and mitigate potential reputational risks.
  • Support proactive issues monitoring and scenario planning.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in corporate communications, brand communications, PR, or related fields.
  • Exceptional command of written and spoken English, with the ability to craft compelling messages, speeches, and narratives for diverse audiences.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience in organizing corporate events, campaigns, or communication initiatives across multiple markets.
  • Proactive, creative, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
  • Solid understanding of the media landscape and digital communication channels, including social media platforms such as LinkedIn.
  • Creative mindset with a strategic approach to problem-solving and brand building, and professional maturity when handling sensitive information.
