The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra seeks a creative, collaborative, and detail-oriented Marketing Specialist to support audience engagement, ticket sales, and brand visibility across a wide range of classical concerts, Goizueta Stage for Youth & Families events, and institutional initiatives. This role will help execute integrated marketing campaigns that inspire audiences to “Come Symphony With Us” through digital engagement and media buying. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, the ideal candidate is an organized communicator with strong writing skills, a passion for the arts, and experience managing marketing projects.

Work Schedule

Monday – Friday, 9am – 5 pm, with some evenings and weekends. The ability to work a hybrid schedule is possible and determined by the department.

Compensation & Benefits

Starting Salary:  $55,000

Essential Duties + Responsibilities:

  • Assists in planning and executing marketing campaigns to drive attendance for concerts, festivals, and special events.
  • Places all advertising across multiple mediums, including radio, outdoor, social media, digital signage, and other platforms.
  • Works with team members to provide timely management of media campaigns, trafficking of creative assets, and the processing of vendor invoices.
  • Collaborates with the Senior Manager of Marketing and Communications to write and create email marketing campaigns.
  • Conducts pre- and post-campaign analysis focused on indicators such as return on investment, cost of sale, market trends, and product preference.
  • Supports audience development initiatives designed to attract and retain younger audiences.
  • Monitors digital engagement trends, analytics, and best practices to stay up to date with the latest developments and insights in the field.
  • Performs concert duty as required, serving as marketing representative at promotional events as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, arts administration, or a related field.
  • Three or more years of experience in digital marketing with a proven track record of growing and engaging an online audience
  • Experience in the arts and culture industry preferred, along with a knowledge of and/or passion for orchestra music.

Skills + Abilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with a focus on timely execution in a fast-paced environment with high accountability and an eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple projects through Asana and deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with both internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with e-commerce platforms such as MailChimp or HubSpot and content creation tools, such as Canva.  
  • Working knowledge of a project management tool like Asana is a plus.
  • Ability to work approximately 3-5 evenings or weekend days a month at events.
