Scope of Position


This highly analytical and strategic individual, as part of the Strategic Marketing team, will support Watts' global growth initiatives by developing market intelligence, competitive insights, demand forecasts, and executive reporting that inform strategic decision-making. The role applies advanced analytical methodologies to integrate, validate, and interpret complex data from internal and external sources, transforming information into actionable insights that support market expansion, investment decisions, portfolio planning, and long-term business growth.


This position serves as a key contributor to the organization's market intelligence capabilities and partners closely with business leaders, product management, commercial teams, and external research providers to improve understanding of market dynamics, competitive positioning, and growth opportunities.


This position is not responsible for supervision of others.


This position reports to the Sr. Strategic Marketing Manager.


This role is hybrid and based in North Andover, MA.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities


  • Develop and maintain market intelligence frameworks that support strategic planning, business development, and commercial decision-making.
  • Leverage internal and external data sources to identify market trends, demand signals, competitive activity, and growth opportunities across key industry verticals.
  • Conduct market sizing, segmentation, growth-rate analysis, and competitive market share assessments utilizing multiple research methodologies and data sources.
  • Develop and maintain long-range market forecasts and business outlooks by integrating internal performance data with external market indicators and industry research.
  • Partner with business platforms, Product Management, Sales, and Marketing teams to evaluate market opportunities and assess business performance against industry benchmarks.
  • Design, develop, and continuously improve executive dashboards, scorecards, and reporting tools that provide visibility into market conditions, demand trends, competitive performance, and forecast assumptions.
  • Create compelling data visualizations and executive-level presentations that translate complex analytical findings into actionable business recommendations.
  • Monitor and evaluate economic indicators, construction market activity, industry trends, and competitive developments impacting Watts' business segments.
  • Manage relationships with external research providers and syndicated data sources to ensure accurate, timely, and relevant market intelligence.
  • Develop analytical methodologies and processes that improve the quality, consistency, and effectiveness of market data collection, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Support annual strategic planning, business reviews, growth initiatives, and investment assessments through robust market analysis and business insights.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Product Management, Sales, Finance, Strategy, and Leadership teams to support enterprise growth objectives.
  • Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by the Sr. Strategic Marketing Manager or Company management.

Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Statistics, Business, Marketing, Economics, Data Science, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in market research, competitive intelligence, commercial analytics, strategic marketing, business analytics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with experience working with large and complex datasets.
  • Experience conducting market sizing, forecasting, trend analysis, competitive intelligence, or business performance analysis.
  • Strong data visualization and reporting skills.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, concise, and actionable business insights.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders through data-driven recommendations and business storytelling.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and business reporting tools.
  • Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.
  • Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks, and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence and dashboarding platforms.
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM platforms.
  • Familiarity with syndicated research providers such as FMI, Dodge, NAHB, Census data, and other industry market intelligence sources.
  • Experience supporting B2B industrial, manufacturing, construction, water technology, or related industries.
  • Knowledge of forecasting methodologies, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling techniques.
  • Experience working with external market research vendors and syndicated data providers.
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Analytics, Statistics, Economics, or related field.

Working Conditions


While performing the job duties, you will be working in an office environment. You will be required to work in the office at the N Andover, MA location three days per week (Monday – Wednesday) and can work remotely two days per week (Thursday and Friday).

Pay Range


The expected salary range for this position is $122,000 - $136,000 yearly. Actual compensation will be dependent upon individual skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable law.
