Senior Product Marketing Manager

Company Overview

At VETRO, we help network operators visualize, manage, and maximize the value of their fiber networks. Our platform serves as the physical network asset system of record, giving teams the clarity and control they need—from strategic planning through daily operations. We empower our customers to expand connectivity, operate more efficiently, and build the networks that connect communities.

Position Overview

VETRO is seeking a Senior Product Marketing Manager with deep knowledge of the fiber broadband industry, a strong customer orientation, and a proven ability to turn complex product capabilities into compelling stories and effective sales tools.

This is a strategic, hands-on role for someone who understands how network operators work: their priorities, operational challenges, buying decisions, and measures of success. You will build direct relationships with VETRO customers and use those insights to strengthen our positioning, equip our sales teams, and lead product launches from initial planning through post-launch adoption. Working closely with Product, Sales, Account Management, Customer, Technical Solutioning, and Marketing, you will connect what VETRO builds to the outcomes customers value - and help our commercial teams communicate that value with confidence.

Key Responsibilities

Develop deep customer and market understanding

  • Engage regularly with customers through interviews, workflow discussions, customer visits, and participation in sales and account conversations.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of fiber network planning, design, construction, documentation, and operations, including how different stakeholders use and evaluate network management software.
  • Translate customer insights into clear buyer personas, priority use cases, value propositions, and messaging grounded in real customer needs.
  • Partner with Product, Technical Solutioning and Customer to bring customer and market evidence into roadmap discussions and commercialization decisions.
  • Monitor competitors, industry developments, and buying trends to identify opportunities for differentiation.

Build sales enablement that helps teams win

  • Own the development and ongoing improvement of sales enablement content, including pitch decks, discovery guides, competitive battlecards, objection-handling resources, solution briefs, demo narratives, and customer-facing presentations.
  • Translate technical capabilities into clear differentiated business value for executive, operational, and technical audiences.
  • Work directly with Sales and Account Management to understand buyer questions, deal obstacles, and content gaps, then create practical resources that address them.
  • Partner with customers and Customer Success to develop case studies, success stories, and credible evidence of customer outcomes.
  • Deliver training that helps Sales, Account Management and partners confidently position VETRO, demonstrate relevant use cases, and communicate differentiation.
  • Evaluate enablement effectiveness through sales feedback, content usage, and evidence of improved sales conversations.

Lead product launches from end to end

  • Own launch planning and execution for new products, capabilities, and significant enhancements - from customer and market validation through launch and post-launch evaluation.
  • Define target audiences, positioning, messaging, launch scope, success measures, timelines, and cross-functional responsibilities.
  • Coordinate launch readiness across Product, Sales, Account Management, Customer, Technical Solutioning, Marketing, and Partnerships, ensuring teams have the training, content, and customer communications they need.
  • Develop launch materials, including product narratives, presentations, web content, announcements, FAQs, and demo guidance.
  • Partner with Marketing on campaigns and with VETRO Customer teams on communications that support awareness, adoption, and expansion.
  • Track launch results, gather customer and commercial feedback, and refine messaging and enablement after release.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant B2B SaaS experience, including substantial ownership of product marketing, sales enablement, and product launches.
  • Deep domain knowledge of fiber broadband, telecommunications infrastructure, or fiber network management software, with a strong understanding of network operator workflows and challenges.
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with customers to uncover needs, validate messaging, understand buying decisions, and develop customer stories.
  • A strong portfolio of sales enablement content that translates complex technical products into clear, persuasive business value.
  • Proven success leading product launches from initial planning through cross-functional readiness, market introduction, and post-launch measurement.
  • Exceptional writing, storytelling, presentation, and facilitation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to drive alignment, accountability, and execution across teams.
  • A hands-on approach, sound judgment, and the ability to balance strategic priorities with detailed content development.
  • Experience with GIS, fiber management, network inventory, or related infrastructure software is strongly preferred.

Benefits

  • Base salary range is $125,000 - $150,000 USD per year. The salary range represents VETRO's good-faith estimate of the compensation for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and other job-related considerations. • Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans with 401K match, remote work stipend, Learning & Development fund, and flexible vacation and PTO.
  • Professional development opportunities and career growth within an innovative and rapidly growing company.
  • Flexible work arrangements with a remote-first approach.

Work Environment

  • This role has the ability to either work in our Portland, ME HQ, hybrid or fully remote.
  • In a hybrid or remote role you are expected to have a designated space that is conducive to productivity and conducting confidential video calls. VETRO will assist with technology needed to set up your home office, as well as offer a semi-monthly internet stipend. While working remotely, you are expected to be distraction-free from non-work responsibilities during working hours.
