About the opportunity 

Join a high performing marketing team as a Marketing and Communications Assistant and play a key role in supporting Advancement portfolio campaigns and communications that strengthen engagement with alumni, donors and the broader University community. This is an exciting opportunity for an organised and creative communications professional to contribute to impactful initiatives that enhance the University's profile, reputation and brand.

Working within a collaborative and supportive team, you'll assist in delivering engaging content across digital and traditional channels, help coordinate marketing campaigns and events, and provide valuable project and administrative support. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across a variety of communications activities, building relationships with stakeholders and creating compelling content for diverse audiences.

 Key responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of marketing and communications initiatives aligned with University and Advancement objectives.

  • Create engaging content for a range of channels, including websites, social media, email campaigns and newsletters.

  • Maintain and optimise website content to ensure information is accurate, relevant and user focused.

  • Provide administrative and project coordination support for marketing and communications campaigns and activities.

  • Assist with the promotion and delivery of public programs, events and engagement activities.

About you

  • Demonstrated experience creating high-quality written communications and adapting content for different audiences and platforms.

  • Experience using digital marketing channels, including social media, websites and email marketing platforms.

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, maintain attention to detail and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills with a collaborative and customer-focused approach.

  • Experience updating website content and interpreting web or campaign performance data would be highly regarded.

  • A relevant degree in Marketing, Communications, Humanities or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of skills and experience.
