From the employer
About Theator
At Theator, we are redefining the future of surgery. Our cutting edge computer vision and AI enrich every step of care, from training and research to live insights in the OR, automatic postoperative notes, smarter billing, and intelligent content management. Trusted by leading hospitals worldwide, we are creating a data driven operating room where surgical teams learn continuously and deliver safer, more precise care to every patient.
Role Overview
As the Head of Marketing you will own how Theator shows up in the market, and how we turn our product and engineering execution and outcomes with customers into momentum, demand, and qualified leads. You will own Theator's pipeline engine: finding the right health systems and the right people inside them, getting their attention, and turning that attention into qualified meetings and opportunities for sales.
You will deeply understand our platform, our users, and our ICP, then translate that into messaging, content, campaigns, and distribution that consistently generate interest. This is not a role focused on process, decks, or maintaining a brand book. It is a builder role focused on speed, creativity, and outcomes.
You will decide what we publish, where we publish it, what narratives we lead with, and which events or conferences matter. You will move quickly, experiment constantly, and create leverage through AI. An idea that comes up in the morning can ship by the evening.
Key Responsibilities
Build a marketing engine that runs itself
- Architect marketing as a repeatable operation rather than a collection of one-off efforts: Reusable assets, and automated processes that deliver steady output that hold up as the company grows
- Build AI-driven and automated workflows for research, enrichment, personalization, and lead routing
- Continuously test offers, messages, channels, and sequences, then double down on what converts
Own Marketing Funnel
- Own performance across the funnel: target account → engaged → lead → qualified meeting → opportunity
- Build and maintain our target account universe and ICP definition, using data to prioritize where we focus, with clear and measurable targets
- Identify and act on buying signals such as new surgical programs, leadership changes, technology investments, and strategic initiatives
Own the story
- Craft distinct messaging for every stakeholder in the deal, from the surgeon who falls in love with the product to the executives who approve the budget
- Translate complex product capabilities into simple, outcome-driven stories that create curiosity and urgency
- Convert our traction with top health systems and partners into a working library of proof (case studies, before/after workflows, "why now" narratives, ROI and quality storylines) and put it to work in campaigns and customer conversations
- Define which conferences, partnerships, and market moments matter for pipeline, and lead execution end to end, from pre-event targeting to post-event follow-up
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience in demand generation, growth, or startup marketing, with a track record of owning pipeline targets
- Proven ability to build pipeline from zero, ship fast, and generate demand without large budgets
- Deep AI fluency — you already use AI to dramatically accelerate your work, not as a nice-to-have
- Hands-on experience with account-based marketing, outbound campaigns, and data enrichment and automation tools (e.g., Clay, Apollo, HubSpot, or similar)
- Strong product intuition and the ability to deeply understand complex products
- Excellent storytelling and communication skills, with native level English writing
- A growth mindset, high ownership, and comfort with ambiguity
- Strong execution skills; you do not need a team to produce high quality output
Bonus
- Experience in healthcare, enterprise SaaS, or selling into hospitals and health systems
