From the employer

  • Community Manager — Run Monster Run

About the Role

Run Monster Run is looking for a Community Manager who knows that a great fandom is about more than watching a show — it's about the people who come together because they love it.

Your mission is to help turn Run Monster Run's audience into an active, connected community where fans can share their thoughts, discuss their favorite characters, come up with theories, and connect with other people who love the show.

From Discord conversations, Reddit threads, and Facebook groups to platforms like X, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube (including the YouTube Community tab), you'll help create opportunities for fans to interact with each other and feel more connected to the world of Run Monster Run.

We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys being part of online communities, understands what makes people want to participate, and knows how to turn a group of viewers into an engaged fandom. If you love bringing people together around the things they enjoy, this could be right up your alley!

What You'll Do

  • Build and nurture the Run Monster Run fandom across Discord, Reddit, Facebook groups, X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube (including the Community tab), and other relevant platforms.
  • Spark conversations around episodes, characters, storylines, theories, and memorable moments from the show.
  • Write engaging social media copy, captions, and posts designed to encourage audience participation.
  • Identify emerging social media trends and creatively adapt them to Run Monster Run content whenever relevant.
  • Create lightweight visual content and short-form video assets to support community activities.
  • Track, monitor, and report on community growth, engagement metrics, and content performance across platforms.
  • Engage with fans, respond to comments and questions, and help keep discussions active and welcoming.
  • Organize community activities such as polls, discussions, fan challenges, contests, and other initiatives that encourage participation.
  • Identify existing communities where Run Monster Run fans might be hanging out and find creative ways to introduce the show to them.
  • Help fans connect with each other and create a sense of belonging around the series.
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive community environment while handling spam, inappropriate behavior, and conflicts when necessary.
  • Pay attention to what fans are talking about, what they care about, and what gets them excited, sharing those insights with the team.
  • Explore new ways to encourage meaningful engagement and strengthen the relationship between the show and its audience.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience managing, moderating, or growing online communities across platforms like Discord, Reddit, Facebook groups, X, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
  • Strong copywriting skills with the ability to craft compelling captions and social posts tailored to fandom audiences.
  • Basic design and video editing skills (familiarity with tools like Canva, Photoshop, or basic editors for short-form video content).
  • A strong grasp of current social media trends and the ability to apply them to animated/entertainment fandoms.
  • Familiarity with social media analytics and tracking key community performance/engagement metrics.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage naturally with different types of people online.
  • Good judgment when moderating discussions, handling disagreements, and keeping communities welcoming and respectful.
  • A genuine interest in entertainment, animated shows, and the communities that grow around them.

What Success Looks Like

  • Fans actively participate in discussions rather than simply consuming content.
  • Community members return regularly, interact with each other, and develop a stronger connection with Run Monster Run.
  • Community activities and trends-driven content generate meaningful participation and expanded reach.
  • Clear insights from platform analytics help guide content and community strategy over time.
