Tatu City is seeking a highly motivated and talented Junior Creative Designer to join our Marketing team. Reporting to the Marketing and Communications Manager, this role is ideal for a recent graduate or creative professional with about 2 years of experience who is passionate about design and eager to leverage AI tools to bring innovative ideas to life.
We value creativity, fresh perspectives, and a strong willingness to experiment with emerging AI technologies to enhance visual storytelling and campaign effectiveness. This role combines ownership of graphic and design projects with hands-on administrative tasks, contributing directly to promoting Rendeavour’s developments in Kenya.
Key Responsibilities
Graphic Design
- Create engaging marketing materials including flyers, posters, brochures, presentations, and corporate reports.
- Develop digital content for social media, websites, email campaigns, and advertisements.
- Design branded merchandise and promotional assets such as banners, corporate gifts, and event branding.
- Produce infographics and visual data representations for reports.
- Support the development and enforcement of corporate branding guidelines to ensure brand consistency.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm and execute creative campaigns that boost brand visibility.
- Conceptualize and design signage, billboards, and environmental graphics for on-site branding.
- Create interactive PDFs and digital presentations for business development and investor relations.
- Work closely with web developers to ensure UI/UX design consistency across digital platforms.
Video Editing & Motion Graphics
- Edit and produce high-quality videos for marketing, events, corporate communications, and digital platforms.
- Add motion graphics, subtitles, and branding to enhance video storytelling.
- Assist in storyboarding and scripting video content.
- Manage video shoots from planning through post-production.
- Optimize video content for multiple platforms ensuring quality and performance.
Photography & Image Editing
- Retouch and enhance images for corporate events, marketing campaigns, and internal use in line with brand aesthetics.
- Maintain an organized media library for easy access.
- Assist with photo shoots for promotional and executive branding.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- Early career creative professional or recent graduate with 2 years plus of relevant experience.
- Strong portfolio showcasing innovative design work, including examples of AI-assisted creations.
- Passionate about experimenting with AI tools and discovering new ways to improve creative output.
- Excellent visual and conceptual design skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and video editing tools (Premiere Pro, After Effects).
- Familiarity with AI design tools is highly desirable.
- Eagerness to learn, adapt, and contribute in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative team player with good communication skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
