This role suits a hands-on performance marketer who can manage campaigns independently and use data to guide optimization. You’ll work from New York, with two to three office days weekly and collaboration hours aligned to Eastern time. The stated base range is $73,000 to $104,000 USD, plus equity.

From the employer

We’re the Markets & Subscribers business unit, a truly cross-functional team focused on finding future listeners, wherever and whoever they may be. We work collaboratively, combining marketing, insights, product development, design, and engineering expertise to grow Spotify’s subscribers and monthly active users in both new and existing markets across the globe. Join us and you’ll be part of a dynamic team taking acquisition, activation, and business growth at Spotify to the next level.

Spotify is looking for a Performance Marketing Activation Specialist to join the band and help drive direct response marketing efforts. You'll be part of the in-house Performance Marketing team - planning, launching, and optimizing global acquisition and conversion campaigns across paid search and paid social, owning every part of the campaign process. You'll work closely with cross-functional partners, analytics teams, and external platforms and agencies to deliver results. A desire to learn more about data and tech innovation is a must have for future growth in the role.

What You'll Do

  • Own daily campaign stewardship (trafficking, QA, launch, high-touch optimization, reporting) with a primary focus on Google Search campaigns. Additional channels include, but are not limited to: Paid Social (Meta, Snapchat, TikTok), Google App Campaigns (ACi, ACe), Apple Search Ads (ASA)
  • Contribute to campaign strategy and budget recommendations for large-scale, multi-million dollar direct response initiatives (app install and web conversion), managing pacing and billing reconciliation.
  • Design and run A/B tests and experiments, analyze results against the learning agenda, and deliver concise reporting in partnership with analytics.
  • Support incrementality testing, partnering with internal and platform analytics teams, across both Conversion Lift and GeoX methodologies.
  • Partner with the broader Strategy team to optimize across channels, including coordinating Search and Social strategies.
  • Cultivating and maintaining vendor and platform relationships and maximizing their potential

Who You Are

  • 3+ years of hands-on performance marketing execution experience running app install and/or web conversion campaigns; in-house experience a plus.
  • Deep hands-on experience managing Google Brand and Nonbrand Search campaigns; experience with other native platforms (Meta, Snapchat, TikTok, Google App, Apple Search) and optimization tools (Smartly) a plus.
  • Data oriented with strong Excel/Sheets skills that you can turn into clear stories and presentations for stakeholders with varying levels of digital expertise.
  • Knowledge of the Marketing Technology ecosystem and the role each piece plays in attributing media performance; familiarity with MMPs, website pixels, CDPs, Google Analytics, Tableau, etc.
  • Experience using AI tools to streamline day-to-day work, especially to automate campaign trafficking and management.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and results-driven, with excellent communication skills and a pulse on where digital advertising is heading.
  • Educated to BA/BS level or have equivalent experience.
  • Self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced environment, executing independently, navigating complexity, and building judgment through doing.
  • Good character and a strong work ethic; your contributions raise the quality and dependability of the team's output and you address issues before they escalate.
  • Curious and open-minded; you do your best work in collaborative teams, sharing context proactively, seeking guidance when needed, and engaging constructively when team direction conflicts with data.

Where You'll Be

  • This role is based in New York.
  • We offer flexibility to work where you work best, with 2–3 days per week in the office. Collaboration hours align to the EST time zone.
The United States base range for this position is $73,000 – $104,000 USD, plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six-month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, monthly meal allowance, 23 paid days off, paid flexible holidays, and paid sick leave. These ranges may be modified in the future.
