Public Relations Manager - Brand

As a Public Relations Manager, you will bring your creativity to the strategic direction and your skills to the execution of media relations campaigns for Rocket Companies’ FinTech brands, including Rocket Mortgage and Rocket Money. Your role is pivotal in showcasing how Rocket revolutionizes homeownership, highlighting innovations through compelling narratives in the spaces Rocket continues to grow, including: sports and entertainment partnerships, data storytelling, technology, marketing initiatives and executive thought leadership. Drawing upon your media relations expertise, you will craft and execute these stories in creative ways.

About the Role

• Develop and implement comprehensive media relations programs across focus areas including: sports and entertainment partnerships, technology, marketing, and data storytelling built for lifestyle and consumer media audiences.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with national and local media, spanning across lifestyle, tech, marketing, business and sports.
• Partner with team members to pitch and execute new and creative media relations tactics.
• Work closely with members of the team in internal communications and broader marketing functions to bring campaigns to life.
• Conceptualize, write and pitch compelling story ideas to reporters, editors and producers.
• Plan and manage press tours, conferences and events.
• Coordinate and secure speaking engagements.
• Collaborate independently with executive leadership.
• Oversee and drive large-scale, critically impactful projects for the organization.

About you

Minimum Qualifications

• 5 years of public relations or related experience
• Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations or a related field
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
