Who this fits

This director-level role suits a revenue-focused growth marketer who can lead through influence and stay hands-on with campaigns and experiments. You need to live in New York City and work in the office. You’ll partner with a growth engineering lead; people management is a plus, not a requirement.

From the employer

About Us

Rho is the modern banking platform built for the AI era. Startups and growth-stage companies can open accounts in minutes, issue cards, manage expenses, pay bills, and close the books – all in one connected platform backed by real human support.

About the role

We're hiring a Head of Growth Marketing to own how Rho wins new customers across every acquisition channel: paid search, paid social, connected TV, outbound, direct mail, lifecycle, SEO and AEO, referrals, and affiliates. You'll be the growth PM for the entire funnel, deciding what to test, proving what works, and moving budget toward it.

Growth at Rho runs as a pod with two leads. You'll lead growth marketing in partnership with our growth engineering lead: you shape what we test and why, and growth engineering builds it and makes it scale. You'll work alongside a team that ships landing pages, data pipelines, and outbound systems in days, AI routines that run every morning, and a BDR team that calls new leads within minutes.

You're accountable for new funded customers and the gross profit they bring. Cost per funded customer, payback, and experiment velocity are how your work gets judged.

Key responsibilities

  • Own Rho's growth target for new funded customers and gross profit, and break it into channel goals each owner in the pod can run with.

  • Build and run the experimentation program: a one-page brief for every idea (audience, channel, copy variants, tracking, and the scale or kill threshold), a shared tracker, and a Friday retro. Ideas ship in days.

  • Turn ideas from across the company, from the CEO to the sales floor, into experiments that marketing operations and growth engineering can stand up quickly, and own the follow-through.

  • Design holdouts and incrementality tests that show which channels create new customers, and move the next dollar based on the results.

  • Own paid strategy across Google Ads, LinkedIn, Meta, and connected TV, including agency partners, with a clear cost-per-funded-customer and payback bar for each channel.

  • Lift conversion from first click to funded account through landing page and onboarding tests with design and engineering, from comparison tables to one-click email capture.

  • Shape lifecycle and nurture so every lead gets the right message at the right moment, and approved customers fund and start using Rho.

  • Partner with Growth BDRs and account executives on lead routing, speed to lead, outbound plays, and which sources turn into customers.

  • Work with data and marketing operations on attribution, conversion tracking back to ad platforms, and the weekly scorecard the team runs on.

  • Agentify the growth loop: build and run AI agents and daily routines that pull funnel and CRO data, generate hypotheses, draft variants, and report results, so the team spends its time on judgment, not busywork.

Requirements

  • 5-7+ years in growth or performance marketing, including at least two years leading growth at a B2B, fintech, or high-velocity SaaS company. You can name the numbers you moved.

  • Revenue-oriented first: funded customers and gross profit are what get you out of bed.

  • Has run a high-volume experimentation program and kept it both fast and rigorous.

  • Hands-on experience designing incrementality tests and holdouts, and the ability to explain to a CEO what last-click reporting misses.

  • Hands on across paid search, paid social, lifecycle email, and outbound; you build a campaign yourself when that's the fastest path.

  • Comfortable in SQL and modern data and marketing tools.

  • You build with AI agents yourself (Claude Code or similar). Your first move on a repetitive task is to agentify it, not hire for it.

  • Leads through influence: you've partnered with engineering as a peer and rallied a cross-functional team around one goal. Experience managing people is a plus.

  • Comfortable working inside a regulated business: exact disclosures, verified claims, and compliance review as part of the shipping process.

  • Based in New York City and excited to work in office with the team.

Diversity is a core value at Rho. We’re passionate about building and sustaining an inclusive and equitable environment for all those involved with our mission, including employees, contractors, candidates, customers and vendors. We believe every member of the Rho community enriches our ability to provide a broad range of ways to understand and engage with the market, identify problems, and drive solutions that align with our mission.
