From the employer

About the Role

This role exists to make recurly.com convert. The Marketing Performance Manager owns conversion rate optimization across the website – personalization, A/B testing, and a relentless cycle of test, learn, and improve that turns more of the right visitors into pipeline, faster.

Everything in the role connects back to that goal. Qualified – our chat and AI SDR platform – is one of the most powerful levers for lifting conversion and shortening the time from first visit to meeting booked. Analytics is what makes it all work: it tells us where visitors drop off, which tests to run next, and whether what we changed actually moved the needle.

The right candidate thinks in hypotheses and outcomes, not tasks. They're as comfortable designing a personalized experience for a specific audience as they are configuring an AI SDR flow or diagnosing a GA4 anomaly – because they see these as parts of one system. They don't just report on performance – they own it, and they bring clear recommendations on what to test, what to scale, and what to stop.

This role sits within Marketing Operations and reports to the Senior Director of Marketing Operations. It's one of the most cross-functional roles on the team: you'll partner closely with Content, Digital Experience, Demand Generation, Sales and SDR leadership, and RevOps every week

What you'll own

  • Conversion rate optimization, personalization, and testing
  • Conversational marketing and AI SDR – Qualified
  • Analytics and performance reporting

Requirements

What you bring

Non-negotiable

  • 3+ years in conversion rate optimization, growth, or marketing operations in a B2B SaaS environment.
  • A proven CRO track record: you have planned, run, and analyzed A/B tests and personalization programs, and can point to the conversion gains they delivered.
  • Strong grasp of experimentation fundamentals – hypothesis design, sample size, statistical significance, and knowing when a result is real.
  • Hands-on Qualified experience (chat and Piper AI SDR), or deep experience with an equivalent conversational marketing platform – you have built the flows, sequences, and routing yourself.
  • Strong GA4 skills: configuration, custom events and conversions, explorations, and diagnosing data quality issues.
  • Strong Google Tag Manager expertise: you can design and maintain a scalable container architecture – tags, triggers, variables, data layer, and consent-aware configuration – and troubleshoot it independently.
  • Proven dashboard and reporting experience in a BI tool (Looker Studio, Looker, Tableau, or similar), and the judgment to turn data into recommendations.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce and funnel metrics – campaigns, campaign member statuses, and how a visit becomes a lead, MQL, pipeline, and closed-won.
  • Clear communication – you can walk a content writer through a test result and a CMO through a dashboard, and both leave knowing what to do next.

Highly valued

  • Contentful CMS experience – including its native personalization and A/B testing capabilities, content models, and components.
  • Experience across the wider martech stack – Marketo, 6sense, OneTrust, Wrike, or equivalents.
  • UX research and behavioral analytics – heatmaps, session recordings, and user testing.
  • Privacy-compliant tracking – consent mode, cookie categorization, and consent management platforms.
  • SQL or BigQuery for pulling your own data without waiting on an analyst.
  • Using AI to scale marketing operations – prompt design, templating, and automation.
  • Subscription billing, fintech, or SaaS billing experience – understanding the Recurly customer is a fast ramp.
