What is the opportunity?
As a Marketing Content Writer & Strategist you will have the opportunity to develop and execute compelling content that advances marketing initiatives and business priorities across RBC’s US Clearing & Custody organization. Your role will combine exceptional writing and editing expertise with the ability to contribute strategic thinking and creative ideas that produce polished, on-brand content across multiple channels. Your work will be accomplished through strong collaboration with marketing, business, and creative teams.
What will you do?
Core Content Development
- Write, edit, and proofread marketing content for accuracy, clarity, grammar, and brand consistency across all channels (digital, email, social media, direct mail, web, etc.)
- Develop clear, compelling messaging that reflects the business’ products, services, capabilities, and strategic priorities
- Maintain brand voice guidelines to ensure consistency and continuity across all communications
Strategic Content & Campaign Development
- Conceptualize and support integrated marketing campaigns that connect multiple channels and touchpoints, ensuring each element reinforces a cohesive campaign narrative
- Brainstorm creative marketing ideas with the Marketing team and business partners, identifying opportunities to turn business priorities, milestones, events, client stories, and industry topics into compelling content
- Support thought leadership and storytelling by identifying relevant topics, developing content concepts, and collaborating with internal experts to bring perspectives to life
- Develop messaging and content themes that create consistency across campaigns and reinforce the organization's value proposition and brand positioning
Execution & Optimization
- Partner with subject matter experts and business stakeholders to gather information and ensure content accuracy and alignment with strategic priorities
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines
- Identify opportunities to repurpose and redistribute content across channels, maximizing value and creating connected experiences for target audiences
- Stay informed of industry trends, audience needs, and emerging content and social media practices to identify opportunities to improve engagement and strengthen marketing effectiveness
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- 4+ years of marketing experience in financial services
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Proven ability to think creatively and develop compelling content strategies
- Experience working collaboratively across multiple teams and managing competing priorities
Nice-to-have
- Experience developing marketing content for a clearing and custody business or similarly complex financial services environment
- Familiarity with financial services regulatory and compliance frameworks in the US
- Experience with marketing technology platforms (e.g., content management systems, marketing automation tools, email platforms)
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and digital content optimization

The expected salary range for this particular position is $70,000-$130,000, depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs.
You have the potential to earn more through RBC’s discretionary variable compensation program which gives you an opportunity to increase your total compensation, provided the business meets its performance targets and you meet your individual goals.
