Remote Worldwide Full-time Manager General Marketing

Mid-level General Marketing role at Pomelo. Remote · full-time.

Role brief

Growth Roles summary, based on the employer's posting.

What you'll do

  • You’ll inspect agency work across email, creative, and Google Ads before it reaches customers
  • You’ll assess twenty to fifty videos each month, then approve uploads to Adnova for Facebook distribution
  • You’ll lead weekly KPI check-ins with agencies and keep promised work on track
  • You’ll suggest CRO experiments, coordinate with the backend developer, and evaluate the outcomes
  • You’ll monitor channel quality and address problems before they affect marketing output

What you bring

  • You bring working knowledge of Google Ads, CRO, affiliate, email, SEO, and organic social
  • You bring at least three years in brand marketing, including substantial direct-to-consumer experience
  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject
  • You’ve used Meta Ads Manager or Adnova, Google Ads, and Claude AI, and have managed agency partners
  • You write clearly, assess marketing performance analytically, and can work independently with US-time-zone overlap

Who this fits

You’ll fit a hands-on quality and execution role reporting to the Marketing Director, rather than a position that owns overall strategy. It suits someone comfortable working remotely and asynchronously in a fast-moving, lean team while maintaining overlap with US hours. The role may grow into leadership of the broader marketing department.

From the employer

About us

Pomelo places the best offshore talent with top brands, startups, and agencies across the globe. We enable hard-working and ambitious talent to work remotely from their home countries, while gaining exposure into how the world’s top companies operate.

About our Pomelo client

Our client is a global direct-to-consumer performance menswear brand headquartered in Hong Kong. They build technical-fabric suits — machine- washable, with a stretch, unlined-feel construction — for a primarily US customer base, and operate as a fully remote team across multiple continents. They move fast, run lean, and hold a high bar on execution.

The role

We're hiring a Marketing Manager to work under our Marketing Director. This is a hands-on execution and quality-control role, not a strategy-ownership seat. You are the person who keeps our marketing output sharp: reviewing what our channels and agencies produce, catching what's off before it ships, and making sure nothing lapses. The ceiling is real. This role can grow into running the full marketing department over time.

What you'll own

  • Review and quality-filter agency output — email, creative, Google Ads — against brand standards and conversion goals.
  • Watch and give detailed creative feedback on 20–50 videos per month (hooks, pacing, CTAs); upload approved creatives to Adnova for Facebook distribution.
  • Manage agency relationships: run weekly KPI reviews and make sure deliverables don't slip.
  • Support CRO: propose tests, coordinate with the back-end developer, and analyze results.
  • Keep a critical eye on quality across every channel, staying ahead of what the agencies produce.
  • What you bring
  • Real exposure across the channels we run. We're looking for strong working knowledge — hands-on or solid conceptual — across all six:
    • Google Ads
    • CRO (conversion rate optimization)
    • Affiliate marketing
    • Email marketing
    • SEO
    • Organic social

Ideal background: you've worked for an e-commerce brand or an e-commerce agency with exposure to most or all of these channels. You can critically assess creative and campaign quality, not just manage a process. Strong written English, self-directed, and comfortable in a fully remote, async team with US- hours overlap.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • 3+ years of experience in brand marketing, with a strong background in direct-to-consumer (DTC) brands.
  • Proven success in scaling a brand and driving high-growth marketing initiatives.
  • Strong leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and manage cross-functional teams.
  • Deep understanding of consumer behavior, brand storytelling, and digital marketing strategies.
  • Experience with Meta Ads Manager / Adnova, Google Ads, and Claude AI
  • Expertise in influencer marketing, social media, content creation, and community engagement.
  • Experience managing agency relationships.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate a clear and compelling brand vision.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a high level of autonomy and accountability.
  • Ability to overlap with US time zone (required)

Benefits

  • Competitive pay, always in US dollars
  • Work remotely from the comfort of your home
  • Health & wellness benefit
  • Paid holidays and time off
  • Performance and referral bonuses
  • Global exposure to the world’s best companies
