From the employer

At Picnic, the customer engagement and loyalty within the domain in online groceries is unprecedented. This gives us unique opportunities to shape meaningful communications and build lasting relationships with our customers. The Consumer team is responsible for doing just that: telling Picnic's story and for building meaningful relationships with Picnic's customers.

As a Creative Designer, you will join a team of designers, analysts, communication coordinators, store managers and copywriters from the start of a communication initiative until we reach our customers' doors. Our goal is to design the most engaging campaigns that directly speak to (potential) customers & and ensure all our assets across multiple channels are in line with our brand. You will think along with the design briefs, develop campaign visuals and help shaping Picnic’s visual identity. Each project, we aim to learn more about our customers and become better at shaping our communications to their needs.

Note: this is not a UX/UI design job.

Tricks of the trade

  • Build engaging campaigns: Collaborate with business stakeholders to build campaigns that engage our existing/future customers. From original concept to final asset creation
  • Weekly visual design work: Create and update email campaigns, social media assets, online ads and campaign visuals for our app

  • Cross-team & cross-country collaborations: Work and learn from experienced designers, analysts and business stakeholders internationally (the Netherlands, Germany & France)
  • Trend research & knowledge sharing: Research retail trends and conduct competitor reviews to keep the team up to date

Your superpowers

  • 2-5 years of working experience in visual design, preferably in a commercial and/or agency environment
  • Solid online portfolio showing a keen eye for detail paired with lots of creative flair
  • Expert with Adobe Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator) and Figma
  • Self-starter with a “roll up your sleeves” attitude
