Job Summary
The Growth Manager, Housing Development is responsible for driving organizational growth by identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities, while ensuring a seamless and positive onboarding experience for new clients, partners, or customers. This role bridges sales, operations, and client services to convert prospects into long-term relationships and ensure successful integration from contract execution through full implementation.
Key Responsibilities
New Business Development
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities aligned with organizational strategy and growth objectives
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline through networking, referrals, inbound leads, and strategic outreach
- Lead discovery conversations to understand client needs, challenges, and goals
- Develop and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and pricing recommendations
- Negotiate contracts in partnership with legal, finance, and leadership teams
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer insights to inform strategy
Client / Customer Onboarding
- Own the end-to-end onboarding experience from contract execution through successful launch
- Serve as the primary point of contact during onboarding, ensuring clear communication and expectation setting
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (sales, operations, HR, IT, finance, implementation, etc.) to meet onboarding milestones
- Develop and maintain onboarding plans, timelines, and documentation
- Identify risks proactively and drive resolution to ensure successful client integration
- Ensure all compliance, documentation, and operational requirements are met
Relationship Management & Retention
- Establish trusted relationships with new clients to promote satisfaction and long-term retention
- Conduct regular check-ins during early engagement to ensure goals are being met
- Partner with account management or customer success teams for smooth handoff post-onboarding
- Capture client feedback and recommend improvements to processes and offerings
Process & Continuous Improvement
- Refine business development and onboarding processes to improve efficiency and scalability
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as conversion rates, onboarding timelines, and client satisfaction
- Create and maintain onboarding tools, templates, and best practices
- Participate in strategic planning and growth initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, client onboarding, account management, or related roles
- Proven success in closing new business and managing complex stakeholder relationships
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in B2B, professional services, HR, benefits, technology, or consulting environments
- CRM experience (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot)
- Familiarity with onboarding or implementation methodologies
- Leadership or team-mentoring experience
