Moleskine is looking for a National Sales Manager who is energized by building strong customer partnerships, identifying growth opportunities, and driving business results.
In this role, you will lead the strategy and day-to-day management of key national accounts, working closely with customers and internal teams to grow the Moleskine business, strengthen long-term partnerships, and bring our brand to life in the marketplace.
You will combine strategic account planning with hands-on execution, using customer and market insights to identify opportunities, improve performance, and deliver against sales and profitability goals.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute growth strategies for key national accounts and recommend actions to achieve sales and business objectives.
- Build strong, long-term customer partnerships while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Manage day-to-day relationships with retail buyers and other key customer decision-makers.
- Lead commercial strategy and negotiations with customers.
- Analyze market dynamics, customer performance, and emerging trends to identify opportunities and inform business decisions.
- Partner with internal teams to support distribution strategy and account growth.
- Identify opportunities to improve account efficiency, profitability, and overall performance.
- Own account forecasting and monitor key sales and performance KPIs.
- Translate sales and customer data into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate across Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and other teams to execute account strategies and deliver results.
- Manage broker and distributor relationships, as applicable.

Required Qualifications
- 2–3 years of experience in sales, account management, category management, or a related field.
- Experience managing key accounts within the consumer packaged goods, consumer products, or retail industries.
- Experience working directly with retail buyers and customer decision-makers.
- Strong understanding of sales strategy, forecasting, and business planning.
- Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to analyze data, identify opportunities, and develop actionable recommendations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous buying experience.
- Experience working with national retailers such as Target, Staples, Office Depot, Amazon, Costco, or similar accounts.
- Experience managing brokers and distributors.
- Experience within the stationery, lifestyle, consumer products, or gift industries.
