About the role

As a Commercial Sales Manager at Perplexity, you'll lead a team of Commercial Account Executives selling Perplexity Enterprise and Computer to small and mid-sized organizations. You'll be responsible for hiring and ramping the team, coaching sellers through efficient, high-velocity sales cycles, and owning team revenue targets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Commercial Account Executives, providing regular feedback to drive individual and team performance

  • Own team revenue, logo, and activity targets, with accountability for pipeline creation, deal velocity, and forecast accuracy

  • Hire, onboard, and ramp new Account Executives in partnership with Recruiting and Enablement

  • Coach the team on outbound prospecting, account prioritization, and converting existing self-serve customers into Enterprise relationships

  • Help AEs qualify with discipline and run efficient sales cycles from discovery through close, partnering with Enterprise AEs when an account warrants a larger motion

  • Run a regular cadence of 1:1s, pipeline reviews, and deal reviews, maintaining accurate Salesforce data and forecasts

  • Partner with Enablement, Product, Marketing, Customer Success, and RevOps to translate field feedback into action

You may be a good fit if

  • 5+ years of SaaS sales experience selling to small and mid-sized organizations, with 2+ years directly managing quota-carrying Account Executives

  • A track record of meeting or exceeding team revenue targets in a high-growth environment

  • Experience hiring, ramping, and developing sellers

  • Experience coaching teams to generate their own pipeline through outbound and product-led signals in a high-velocity sales motion

  • Strong command of Salesforce, pipeline management, and forecasting
