Who this fits

This role suits a senior marketer who can turn complex technical ideas into engaging content and use performance data to guide audience growth. You’ll need strong English writing, speaking, and presentation skills, plus experience coordinating work across agency and client teams. The role is based on-site in Bengaluru.

From the employer

Grounded in a talent-centric mindset, Maker Lab is a marketing agency designed to build decentralised technology-led agency teams, rooted in collaboration with clients from the ground up. Maker Lab’s cross-functional teams of multidisciplinary specialists are embedded into client teams across digital marketing competencies — from measurement & analytics to content production.

Role Summary:

We're looking for a Senior Social Media Manager to own organic growth strategy end-to-end — from content planning through to community engagement — for a client in the developer/technology space. You'll combine creative judgment with a sharp analytical approach to grow an engaged, loyal audience from the ground up, and act as the architect of developer-focused marketing strategies that go beyond a standard social presence.

This is a chance to shape how a global community of developers and businesses experiences the brand — building conversations that create real momentum and long-term loyalty across the product suite.

Role:

  • Build and continuously evolve a 30/60/90-day content roadmap aligned to brand goals and developer-audience trends.
  • Own end-to-end publishing — titles, metadata, and discoverability strategy — to perform strongly across Search and Suggested feeds.
  • Partner closely with production teams to keep assets on-brand, on-brief, and on schedule.
  • Run daily performance reviews, translating data into creative and strategic pivots.
  • Lead structured A/B testing (thumbnails, titles, formats) and track platform/algorithm shifts proactively.
  • Be the active, strategic voice in community spaces — comments, community tabs — feeding audience sentiment back into the creative process.
  • Bring proven experience growing and sustaining audiences on major video/content platforms, with a clear line back to client marketing objectives.

You:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years in growth or social/community marketing.
  • A track record engaging technical, developer, or B2B audiences — turning complex ideas into accessible, high-engagement content.
  • Familiarity with cloud, software, or enterprise tech ecosystems is a strong plus. Hands-on expertise across content creation, SEO tooling, and video editing.
  • Comfort working with performance data to shape retention and growth strategy.
  • Excellent copywriting and communication skills — clear, engaging, audience-first. Experience managing cross-functional work within a collaborative agency-client setup.
  • A self-starter who works well with autonomy and ambiguity.
  • Exceptional verbal and written English communication and presentation skills.
