Job Summary:
As a Social Media Analyst, you'll turn data into the driving force behind great content. Uncover audience behaviours, spot cultural trends, and transform performance insights into recommendations that shape creative strategy for a major tourism and leisure brand.
Role:
- Data Management & Tools: Manage and operate the suite of AI and social media analytics tools utilised by the team to gather performance and audience data.
- Performance Tracking: Develop and maintain the real-time "Impact Dashboard" for transparent, continuous performance tracking across all social channels and campaigns.
- Insight Generation: Analyse content performance metrics to provide clear, actionable recommendations for creative and strategic optimisation, driving continuous improvement.
- Trend & Sentiment Reporting: Identify and report on emerging social media trends, audience sentiment, competitor activity, and overall market dynamics, working closely with the Social Strategist.
- Data Translation: Translate complex, raw data into clear, concise, and compelling reports and visualisations for creative and strategic teams, ensuring data is easily digestible and informs decision-making.
- Empirical Foundation: Ensure all content decisions and strategic pivots are rooted in a deep, empirical understanding of audience behaviour and platform dynamics.
You:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3+ years of professional experience in social media analytics, digital reporting, or data-driven content strategy.
- Proven proficiency in using major social media analytics platforms and dashboarding tools (e.g., native platform insights, listening tools, third-party analytics software).
- Demonstrated ability to conduct detailed analysis of content performance, audience demographics, and competitive landscapes.
- Strong capability in translating complex data sets and statistical analysis into simple, narrative-based recommendations.
- Experience in identifying and reporting on fast-moving social media trends and audience sentiment.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and a self-starter with a track record of strong performance in fast-paced, analytical roles.
- Exceptional verbal and written English communication and presentation skills, with proven experience presenting data findings to non-analytical audiences.
