From the employer

For more than 20 years, KordaMentha has supported businesses through some of their most complex matters and opportunities. Founder owned and led; we are an advisory firm that helps corporations, financiers, lawyers, private investors and government clients to grow, protect and recover value.

That’s what we do, but it’s how we do this that makes us who we are.

Proudly independent, strategically local, and with a bias for action to get things done, we focus on doing what is right by our clients, our people, and the wider community. Our track record shows that we help navigate the best path forward in challenging times, and do so across cities, regions and territories.

In the most stressful or demanding environments, we continue to drive change where it really counts.

Please note this is a 6 month contract role.

As part of our Marketing and Design team, you will design and deliver high impact visual content across firmwide campaigns, presentations and marketing materials. Leveraging your expertise in Adobe Creative Suite and other design tools, you will transform ideas into engaging creative assets that strengthen our brand and enhance client and stakeholder communications. The role also contributes to the production of professional documents and presentations, working closely with the Document Formatting team to ensure consistency, quality and attention to detail.

The role encompasses the following core responsibilities:

  • Provide high level graphic design solutions and/or finished art for company collateral.
  • Provide high level conceptual designs when required, both within and outside of branding guidelines.
  • Provide high level implementation of branding requirements, across various Adobe and Microsoft programs.
  • Using InDesign, produce multi page documentation such as Information Memorandums, and other similar collateral.
  • Create files which are technically accurate and adhere to strict filing processes.
  • Liaise with internal clients regarding objectives and requirements.
  • Interpret client briefs and develop solutions to meet their needs, in a timely fashion.
  • Make creative suggestions to clients regarding the best solutions for their job, by gathering information and data through research and/or using your existing knowledge.
  • Handle all sensitive and confidential information with integrity, discretion and sound professional judgement.
  • Provide back up support to liaise with external suppliers on cost, deadlines and timings.
  • Photography for smaller, onsite events (out of office hours required).
  • Ability to work outside regular hours when projects call for it. This may include occasional weekend work.
  • Provide high quality back up support within the Design team with the creation, amendment and reformatting of various types of documents using company standard templates and branding style, often working to deadlines. This includes, but is not limited to:
    • Formatting reports and presentations for print and on-screen presentations in PowerPoint, including the creation of diagrams and charts.
    • Formatting reports, letters and tables in Microsoft Word.
    • Formatting charts, graphs and tables in Microsoft Excel.
    • Finalising mail merges in Word.
    • Editing/finalising Adobe Acrobat PDFs to merge, split and secure documents.
    • Creating invitations using CRM.
    • Downloading photos from photo libraries, along with Photoshop manipulation when needed.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Design is desirable
  • Minimum five years’ experience as a graphic designer within a corporate, professional services or similar environment, with demonstrated experience delivering design solutions for corporate clients.
  • Outstanding creativity and innovation across a broad range of executions, programs and branding styles.
  • Originality and strong conceptual design skills with the ability to adapt as markets change.
  • An understanding of the latest design trends and their application within a corporate environment.
  • Willingness and aptitude for continuous learning and growth.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical thinking.
  • Solid photography skills
  • Excellent working knowledge of Figma
  • Great communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Advanced proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects is highly regarded.
