Who this fits
This role suits a senior analyst who can shape open-ended questions, influence stakeholders and guide growth decisions across Marketing and Product. The role is based in London, with one work-from-home day each week and the option to work from anywhere for up to two weeks per year.
From the employer
We are looking for a Growth Analyst to help KatKin make better, faster decisions across Acquisition, Retention and Product growth.
You will be expected to work as an embedded strategic partner to growth teams: shaping the questions we ask, identifying opportunities before they become briefs, and turning analysis into clear recommendations that move the business forward.
You will sit close to Marketing, and Product teams, using data to understand where growth is coming from, where we are leaking value, and which interventions will improve conversion, retention, customer quality and marketing efficiency. Your work should directly influence prioritisation, experimentation, channel investment, customer journey decisions and growth roadmaps.
The right person will combine strong analytical capability with commercial judgement, product intuition and the confidence to influence senior stakeholders. You will not just explain what happened; you will help the business decide what to do next.
Performance analysis
Lead data analysis across CRO, funnel optimisation, channel performance, attribution, campaign effectiveness and customer lifecycle behaviour on a weekly, monthly cadence and as needed.
Spot risks and opportunities early through proactive monitoring, anomaly detection and regular performance review.
Proactively identify growth opportunities across acquisition, conversion, retention, customer quality and marketing efficiency.
Experimentation and optimisation
Design, analyse and interpret experiments, including A/B tests, incrementality tests and other practical approaches to measuring impact.
Partner with Marketing and Product teams to shape strategy, prioritise initiatives and improve decision quality.
Customer insights
Build a deep understanding of customer behaviour, including who we acquire, how they convert, where they drop out and what drives long-term value.
Develop clear narratives from data, turning complex analysis into simple, opinionated recommendations for action.
Root cause analysis
Diagnose performance trends and identify the root causes behind changes in key growth metrics.
Define and monitor success metrics for major growth initiatives, ensuring teams know whether their work is having the intended impact.
Translate ambiguous business questions into analytical frameworks, measurable hypotheses and clear recommendations.
Data management (including Looker optimisation)
Work with Analytics Engineering to improve data foundations, tracking quality, metric definitions and self-service capability.
Raise the analytical bar across the business by helping teams ask better questions, interpret data correctly and use dashboards/AI tools effectively.
Commercial analysis (to support the Commercial Finance team to evaluate trade offs)
Help teams understand the trade-offs between volume, quality, efficiency, retention and profitability.
Partner closely with Finance to evaluate the full ROI of initiatives.
Strong experience in marketing analytics, product analytics or growth analytics
Excellent SQL skills and comfort working with large, complex datasets
Experience analysing funnels, cohorts, experiments, campaigns and customer lifecycle behaviour
Experience with attribution, marketing mix, channel optimisation and performance marketing analytics
Ability to move beyond descriptive reporting into diagnosis, recommendation and action.
Strong commercial judgement: you understand that not all growth is equal, and can connect customer behaviour to business outcomes.
Confidence working with cross-functional partners across Marketing, Product, Finance, Engineering and Data
Clear communication skills, with the ability to tell simple, persuasive stories from complex analysis
High agency and curiosity: you do not wait for perfect briefs, and you actively look for ways data can improve business performance.
Comfortable operating in ambiguity, prioritising ruthlessly and focusing on work with measurable impact.
A strong bias towards action, with the judgement to know when analysis is “good enough” to support a decision.
Experience in a subscription, ecommerce, consumer, marketplace or DTC business.
Experience with experimentation design, incrementality testing or causal inference.
Familiarity with dbt, BigQuery, Looker, Hex, PostHog, Snowplow or similar tools
Experience using AI tools to accelerate analysis, investigation, monitoring or insight generation
Experience defining tracking plans and working with event stream data
