From the employer
A high-growth B2B data and technology company is seeking a GTM Engineer to help build and scale its client-facing go-to-market services business.
This is a hands-on, customer-facing role for someone who combines GTM strategy with technical execution. You will partner directly with founders and growth leaders to design, implement, and optimize systems that turn company data, buying signals, AI tools, and automation into measurable pipeline and revenue.
As the first dedicated GTM Engineer supporting this business line, you will have significant ownership over client engagements, technical implementations, and the development of repeatable service offerings. This is an opportunity to operate at the intersection of growth strategy, AI-enabled automation, and systems engineering in a fast-moving environment.
What You'll Do
- Own client engagements end-to-end: Lead kickoff meetings, facilitate recurring strategy discussions, and manage delivery with client founders and heads of growth.
- Develop ideal customer profiles: Analyze closed-won deals, customer data, and sales call transcripts to identify high-value customer segments and targeting criteria.
- Build targeted prospect lists: Translate customer profiles into prioritized, tiered prospect lists using verified company and contact data.
- Implement outbound infrastructure: Configure and optimize outbound systems, integrating data sources, outreach platforms, and automation tools.
- Build signal-driven GTM workflows: Develop inbound and outbound campaigns informed by buyer intent, engagement activity, and other relevant business signals.
- Connect tools and systems: Integrate APIs, AI tools, and GTM platforms to create reliable, scalable workflows.
- Measure and optimize performance: Evaluate workflow effectiveness and connect implementation decisions to pipeline generation, conversion, and revenue outcomes.
- Productize successful solutions: Turn repeatable client implementations into reusable templates, playbooks, and service offerings.
- Shape the business: Contribute to service design, tooling decisions, pricing, and the evolution of the team's operating model.
Required Qualifications
- Experience building or operating a business, agency, or side project with paying customers.
- Ideally, a demonstrated ability to personally acquire customers through marketing or GTM initiatives you developed and executed.
- Customer-facing experience in consulting, agency services, founding GTM, or forward-deployed roles, with direct accountability for client outcomes.
- Hands-on experience with modern GTM and AI tools, such as Claude Code, Clay, Instantly, and n8n.
- Practical technical ability, including working with APIs, light coding, and connecting systems to automate workflows.
- Experience translating business objectives into actionable GTM strategies and technical implementations.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain recommendations to founders and growth leaders, incorporate feedback, and adjust solutions in real time.
- A proactive, resourceful approach to problem-solving, with comfort operating independently in ambiguous environments.
- Ability to work in person in San Francisco, CA, or New York, NY.
What Makes You Successful
- You build systems that produce measurable business results, not just technical prototypes.
- You understand how targeting, prospect data, outreach infrastructure, and buying signals work together to generate pipeline.
- You can move fluidly between customer strategy, hands-on implementation, and performance optimization.
- You take ownership of client relationships and follow through on delivery.
- You identify repeatable solutions and turn them into scalable processes and offerings.
- You enjoy building from the ground up and want a meaningful role in shaping a growing client-facing business.

- Base salary of $140,000–$180,000, plus competitive equity.
- Direct collaboration with company leadership and founders.
- Significant ownership of client engagements and technical GTM implementations.
- The opportunity to help define and scale a new business line at the intersection of AI, data, automation, and revenue growth.
