Job Summary

Are you ready to turn complex market signals into clear stories and practical opportunities that help customers and commercial teams act?

IFF is a global leader in flavors, fragrances, food ingredients and health & biosciences. We deliver sustainable innovations that elevate everyday products.

The Manager, Strategic Marketing plays a critical role in shaping and activating North America Health Sciences growth priorities through strategic storytelling, category development, customer engagement, commercialization planning, and go-to-market execution support.

This role sits at the intersection of Market & Consumer Insights, Commercial Marketing, Innovation, Sales, and Customer Engagement. The Manager will identify meaningful market signals, develop customer-ready stories, support innovation initiatives, and help bring North America growth priorities to life through strategic storytelling and commercial activation.

The role is designed for a high-potential professional seeking to expand from insights generation into strategic marketing, storytelling, customer engagement and commercial strategy. Success requires moving beyond reporting data to explain what is happening, why it matters and what we should do next.

Where You'll Make a Difference

  • Partner with Commercial Marketing to develop category, consumer, and growth narratives aligned to strategic pillars, go-to-market priorities, and customer needs.
  • Translate consumer, market, customer, and competitive intelligence into clear implications, recommendations, and opportunity frameworks rather than stand-alone data summaries.
  • Own development of category stories, customer-facing narratives, thought leadership content, and opportunity frameworks supporting North America growth priorities.
  • Support and, with development, lead selected customer innovation sessions and workshop workstreams from planning and content development through facilitation and follow-up.
  • Monitor category and consumer shifts, competitive activity, and emerging whitespace, connecting signals across sources to identify commercially relevant growth opportunities.
  • Lead selected strategic marketing initiatives, including commercialization planning, launch support, growth-platform activation, and customer engagement programs.
  • Support campaign and program performance analysis, translating key performance indicators and market response into practical learning and next-step recommendations.
  • Collaborate across Sales, Innovation, Product Management, Science, Market & Consumer Insights, and Regional Marketing to integrate diverse inputs and strengthen customer and commercial outcomes.
  • Demonstrate initiative and end-to-end ownership by moving work from ambiguity to a clear plan, high-quality deliverable, and actionable recommendation.
  • Own commercialization and launch support for select North America Health Sciences initiatives, including positioning, messaging, customer activation tools, sales enablement materials, and market-readiness planning.
  • Serve as strategic marketing lead for assigned category growth platforms, identifying trends, opportunity spaces, customer needs, and commercial recommendations.
  • Event Marketing Management

What Makes You the Right Fit

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Consumer Insights, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Approximately 4 to 7 years of experience in consumer insights, market research, business intelligence, marketing, category management, or a related function.
  • Experience working with consumer, customer, market, competitive, or syndicated intelligence and synthesizing qualitative and quantitative inputs.
  • Demonstrated ability to move beyond reporting by identifying implications, forming recommendations, and connecting insights to business opportunities.
  • Strong PowerPoint and presentation development skills, with a clear interest in building persuasive, audience-relevant stories.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complexity without losing strategic meaning.
  • Self-directed problem solving, strong initiative, and comfort operating in an environment where the path may not be fully defined.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, including research, synthesis, writing, presentation building, planning, and follow-through.
  • Ability to build productive cross-functional relationships and present recommendations with growing confidence to internal and customer stakeholders.

How Would You Stand Out?

  • Experience supporting customer presentations, strategic workshops, commercial teams, or go-to-market initiatives.
  • Experience in health, nutrition, consumer packaged goods, life sciences, or another science-led, customer-focused industry.
  • Curiosity about emerging wellness spaces and the ability to turn early signals into differentiated category stories and customer opportunity areas.
