Web Content Specialist- Hybrid (DMV)

ICF is seeking a Web Content Specialist who has experience in writing and editing, documentation, writing/editing effective training materials, using a presentation app, providing quality control of data/content, and presenting outreach training to staff. The position edits content and manages any reviews needed, and uses content management systems (CMS), including Drupal 10, to upload, maintain, and post content on agency websites and intranets. This involves optimizing text for SEO and ensuring all web pages are compliant with federal accessibility laws (Section 508). In addition, this position will coordinate the Agency’s quarterly certification process for up-to-date information. The individuals must have the ability to use graphic applications to crop, recolor, resize, and manipulate web images when needed. This position will coordinate processes and procedures. The position performs database content coordination, entry, editing, sorting, and filtering through a graphical user interface. Backend programming, Drupal development, module administration, and website configuration are not required. Web experience is required.

Additional Responsibilities:

Create, edit, maintain, and publish content for FHWA Drupal websites, SharePoint sites, research-project databases, and other online platforms.

Write web pages, articles, alternative text, user manuals, training materials, and procedural documentation; coordinate reviews and approvals; monitor content for accuracy; correct broken links and formatting; support quarterly certifications; and recommend improvements to readability, organization, usability, and navigation.

Work Arrangement and Scope: Hybrid, with approximately two days per week onsite with the client in McLean, Virginia. Onsite schedules are generally coordinated Monday through Thursday and may change based on clients’ need. Occasional travel to other local facilities may be required.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related discipline.

Basic Qualifications:

• 5–7 years of experience in web content management, 3 of which shall be within the last 5 years to include: Web writing, editing, proofreading, and content quality control; Drupal or comparable enterprise CMS experience, preferably Drupal 10; Section 508 web accessibility, including meaningful alternative text; SEO; SharePoint and database content coordination; basic web-image editing and optimization; development of training materials and user documentation; stakeholder coordination; and the ability to meet short deadlines across multiple concurrent assignments.

• Transportation experience, especially highway and surface transportation.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$73,770.00 - $125,408.00
