About the Role:
We are looking for a Trade Marketing Category Development Manager to lead the development and execution of category strategies that drive sales growth across retail channels for two of Ferrero Türkiye's key categories: Nutella and Premium Chocolate.
Based in Istanbul, this role reports directly to the Trade Marketing Channel & Category Development Manager. Main Responsibilities:
- Support the strategic development of Trade Marketing initiatives by enhancing category management capabilities, facilitating innovation launches, and ensuring trade and shopper perspectives are fully integrated into business plans
- Act as the primary point of contact and category owner for the assigned categories
- Develop and execute effective medium- and long-term local category strategies aligned with Ferrero Marketing guidelines, including visibility objectives and growth initiatives, to maximize category performance
- Strengthen the performance of existing portfolios in established markets and channels while defining and implementing activation guidelines for emerging channels and growth opportunities
- Establish and optimize category management tools, processes, governance models, and meeting routines to elevate local capabilities and best practices
Monitor and analyze market, shopper, trade, and competitor data to identify business opportunities and develop category growth plans - Develop category growth selling stories and category vision based on shopper insights, market dynamics, and business opportunities, translating them into compelling selling arguments to support commercial decision-making and customer engagement
- Collaborate closely with Marketing teams on New Product Development (NPD) projects, ensuring that shopper insights, category dynamics, and market trends are effectively reflected in innovation strategies
- Define and implement category placement guidelines, including planogram development and shelf optimization principles across shelves, checkout areas, and secondary display locations, to maximize visibility, shopper engagement, and sales performance
- Manage shopper KPI analysis and interpretation for assigned categories, translating insights into actionable recommendations to support category development and commercial decisions
About You:
- Bachelor's degree
- Preferably 5+ years of experience in Trade Marketing, Category Management, Sales Development, or similar commercial roles
- Experience with Nielsen and other market intelligence tools is an advantage
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to transform insights into strategic actions
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills
- Proactive, results-oriented, and capable of working effectively in a dynamic environment
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Fluent in both English and Turkish, with strong verbal and written communication skills
