About the Role:

Based in Luxembourg within our Global Data Science & AI team, as a Marketing Data Science Lead you will contribute to solving complex business challenges through innovative analytics and AI-driven approaches, with a strong focus on production and scalability. You will shape strategic decisions across categories and geographies while growing your expertise through high-value global projects.

This role offers the opportunity to work on high-value projects that leverage cutting-edge technologies and methodologies, transforming data into actionable insights that guide Ferrero’s growth.

Main Responsibilities:

You will analyze diverse datasets, including sales, marketing and media, promotions, pricing, macroeconomic indicators, and build advanced statistical and AI-driven models to solve business questions across categories and geographies. Moreover, you will develop, test, and deploy models leveraging traditional Machine Learning models as well as Generative AI and Retrieval-Augmented Generation techniques to deliver contextual insights and decision support.

You will design robust data cleaning and classification procedures for sources such as retail sell-out, eCommerce sales, digital shelf metrics, shopper behavior, consumer surveys, and third-party datasets, ensuring data integrity for modeling and reporting.

You will script automation workflows for analytical pipelines and explore AI-driven automation for data preparation, processing, and model validation. You will also create interactive dashboards in Power BI and, in some cases, develop self-service UI solutions enabling stakeholders to run models independently.

Working closely with data scientists and cross-functional partners, you will explore emerging technologies, share knowledge, and strengthen our capabilities. You will lead, coach, and develop data scientist(s) fostering a high-performance culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning while connecting individual goals with business priorities.

About You:

You bring a Master’s or PhD degree in a quantitative field – such as Mathematics, Econometrics, Statistics, Engineering, or an equivalent discipline; together with at least 8 years of applied Advanced Analytics experience. Your background includes expertise in modeling techniques and advanced statistical concepts, combined with familiarity with modern AI approaches. Practical knowledge and application of Market Mix Modeling approach is required.

You are proficient in programming languages such as Python, together with platforms like Power BI, SQL, Azure, Spark, and Scala. You bring experience in applying Bayesian modeling approaches and MLOps principles and are familiar with syndicated data sources such as NielsenIQ and Circana. Experience with Databricks is a plus.

You have strong analytical skills, creativity, and a test-and-learn mindset. You communicate clearly in English and can manage business stakeholders and interpret analytical outputs from a business perspective.
