This is a 6-month fixed-term contract (FTC) opportunity. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for driving the commercial performance of the E-Commerce business through strategic marketing initiatives, systematic programs, and key digital channels to support business growth and customer engagement.

  • Partner with the Brand Leader to develop and execute seasonal marketing strategies that drive brand and commercial objectives.
  • Provide strategic oversight and guidance to Brand Heads and teams on portfolio strategies, marketing plans, and campaign execution.
  • Review and approve all seasonal brand plans, including seasonal calendars, campaign briefs, channel strategies, and budgets.
  • Oversee and approve brand planning activities, including shoot plans, digital marketing plans, paid social strategies, organic social content plans, and PR initiatives.
  • Support effective resource planning by monitoring team capacity, reviewing timesheets, and identifying future resourcing requirements.
  • Manage freelancers and external resources, ensuring work is delivered through the correct approval processes.
  • Review and approve campaign, channel, and project budgets, ensuring alignment with annual budget allocations.
  • Evaluate creative work against marketing briefs to ensure brand consistency and delivery against campaign objectives.
  • Oversee media agency briefs and campaign schedules, ensuring alignment with marketing strategies and appropriate stakeholder approval.
  • Build strong relationships with Merchant Heads to align marketing investment and seasonal marketing calendars with trading priorities.
  • Collaborate closely with key stakeholders across Creative, Production, E-commerce, Visual Merchandise, Merchandising, and Operations.
  • Represent the marketing function in campaign reviews, merchandise meetings, product reviews, and leadership forums.

Marketing Effectiveness & Insights

  • Approve campaign objectives, KPIs, and measurement frameworks in collaboration with the Marketing Effectiveness team.
  • Review campaign performance reports and provide strategic recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Lead seasonal post-campaign reviews, assessing performance against objectives and identifying learnings for future campaigns.
  • Leverage brand health, customer, and market research insights to inform strategic direction and decision-making.
  • Compile and review executive and board-level marketing reports, ensuring accuracy and actionable insights.

Leadership & People Management

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing marketing team through clear goal setting and performance management.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and customer-centricity.
  • Identify training, coaching, and development opportunities to support talent growth and succession planning.
  • Drive employee engagement and ensure the team consistently delivers high-quality work within agreed timelines.
  • Promote a professional, responsive, and service-oriented culture when partnering with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8+ years' experience in a marketing environment, with significant experience in brand strategy, campaign management, and commercial marketing.
  • Advanced understanding of marketing channels, integrated marketing strategies, budget management, campaign reporting, and performance measurement.
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to effectively manage, coach, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate business objectives into impactful marketing strategies.
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management and the ability to influence at senior leadership level.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, project management, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong written, verbal, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Mr Price brands, retail trading cycles, customer behaviour, and e-commerce operations will be advantageous.
  • Experience working within a fast-paced retail environment and managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
